Very natural, great for the price no cons at all. I have a high level competition car audio system for frame of reference. I am using a very nice inexpensive dongle DAC FOSI audio DS2 to drive them. I think these would be even better with a non dongle DAC where there was a little breathing room with more power but considering the low cost of this combo I am extremely pleased. You could listen to these a very long time with no fatigue. This is not for bassheads. This is not for people that turn up the treble and think that it adds detail (harsh). Just nice natural tonality. This is great finding something that is good value and performance.

Had the model below this one and they were great. Bought these to replace my old ones after a few years of abuse and I am really satisfied with the quality. Nicer look and stitching and more padding compared to the lower model.

All these weird comments about them being heavy. That's exactly why I bought them. They feel great on my head and the sound is clear and loud. As far as the weight thing is concerned, I'm not sure why it's a "complaint"...it's not like they weigh 45 pounds and your neck is tired, they're headphones, they sit on your head and you listen to music. I am using them for DJ'ing and they're fabulous!! Well worth the money.

I always thought I had a big head, and with these headphones its obvious I do have a big head. I am maxed on the size adjustment. Other than that personal issue, these are pretty good headphones. They are comfortable, sound darn good, and I like the cord length.

No volume control but great pass-through. Lots of volume to spare coming out of a USB adapter. Less bass than a cheap Radio Shack $16 dollar headset from the 80's, but cleaner. Does the remastered Boy of Book of Love the justice it call for!

I love these earphones!

I’m a ceo and a professional mentor. This headset is just right for critical listening and direct monitoring. I use it with both Rode podcast mic & Shure MV7. Satisfactory product for direct monitoring and critical listening (my review is not for singing purposes; the review is for for lectures and consultations such as for zoom meetings).

Me encantaron los audífonos! Los uso mayormente para escuchar música y cuidar mis oídos! De igual manera los uso como referencia de mezclas. Muy cómodos, excelente sonido y buena calidad en materiales. Tenía los 440 y me gustan mucho, pero estos sí que los siento 10/10

Enjoyable, but the overall design is so uncomfy it hurts after 5 mins. The smallest movements of the head changes the tones. Also bleeds out before a comfortable volume level, and it suffers in the mids. Its cable is too stiff, overall overpriced.

Great quality, Shure is it. The sound quality for a pair of monitoring headphones is great. Very pleased with them

I'm fairly new to high quality headphones, so take this review with that in mind. I am coming from the Sennheiser HD 598SR's as my main daily drivers, and I also own a pair of WH-XM3's and these headphones I would say are better than both of them. I'm realizing I personally prefer closed-back to open-back, as the 598's are open-back, and these are of course closed-back. To put it more into words, I'm finding the SRH840's to be extremely well balanced, and crisp. I feel like I could hear an ant fart while a nuke is going off. I hear all frequencies far better than I've ever experienced before with any other headphone, and listening to anything right now is an absolute joy. Gunshots in movies startle me with how loud they are - despite never experiencing this before with any other headphone. While I'm also noticing minute and small details in music I've been listening to, like faint notes or whispers in the background that I've never noticed before. If I encounter build issues I may update this review accordingly, so for now, just on sound alone, these are an easy 5 star. The best headphones I've personally ever owned.
