We used these for our car portable potty for the toddler. It really does help with smells and it became gel relatively quick. The packets are easy to open too.

The best power we found. Helps with any smell turns to gel quickly. We use 2 at time. We change our bag from the toilet about every 24 hrs.

I really like this porta potty powder. I use it in my elderly mother's commode that we keep in her bedroom. It smells very fresh and works well. I took one star off because I've been using this for several years and just recently, the size of the packets was greatly reduced. I still use it but sometimes it requires two packets.
