The meter works perfectly for my needs, ensuring I don't over or under water my plants. One thing to note is that it needs to be wiped clean after each use, as per the directions. The instructions also explicitly state not to submerge the probe in standing water, which is important to follow. I've seen other reviewers give it a bad rating for not adhering to this guideline, which caused their meters to stop working. To ensure its accuracy, I verified the moisture level with my hand, and it consistently matched the meter's readings. It's nice for my deeper raised gardens to reach to depths that my hand can't. Sometimes the soil would be dry on the top layer but plenty watered a little deeper. Helps avoid getting root rot or things like that. Overall, I'm very satisfied with this purchase. It’s a reliable, affordable tool for any gardener looking to maintain optimal soil moisture levels.

Can't find these anymore at the store so jumped at them when I found them online. Great instant moisture meter, use at home and the office and gift to friends who are not so good at tending plants. Prevents both over and under watering, and great to learn the requirements of each plant.
