Just do not see the worth vs the cost
I was on a pineapple upside cake making kick. This did not, and end up being any better than the 10 dollar pan I replaced for. This dish is NOT 9" at the bottom. That was my big disappointment. Made this dish first and then again with the 10 dollar dish. Is one better than the other, no. The 10 dollar dish did hold my needed 9 pineapples though. IMO, 350 degrees in the oven is 350 degrees baking in a dish.

Emile Henry Cookware
Emile Henry ceramic style cookware has been one of those kitchen items that really "changes" things. Before, we were using various types of baking dishes - glass, other ceramics, etc. - that we bought mainly because of the price. What we have found using Emile Henry "bakeware" is that the same dishes we made in other less quality bakeware comes out significantly better using Emile Henry. So much so that I would say it is not even a comparison. The lasagnes, casseroles, and things as simple as mac & cheese are so much better it is kind of hard to believe really. Emile Henry provides even heating, avoid all the issues with burnt bottoms/tops, cooked on the outside but not the inside, overdoing noodles, etc. I would highly recommend this line of products. Another item that was so much better were the homemade pies and breads. What a difference - and well worth th money. The only downside is they are ceramis and somewhat fragile if not handled properly - so can chip if dropped or banged hard against something - but only to be expected.

The Best
This was my forth piece of Emile Henery , and I will continue to buy more pieces. I spent 100's of dollars on a that brand on a certain shopping show and was let down. Over time its cracks and falls apart. HOWEVER Emile Henry has NEVER let me down. NEVER cracked , no stains and provides the best even cooking I've ever seen. Clean up has always been a breeze and always looks brand new. Yes , I will pay for all that commitment from my cookware. Better than trying to save a dinner in cracked stoneware.

The Best Bakeware!
Emile Henry is by far the best bakeware out there! It cooks like a charm and clean up is a breeze! Just let it cool, then pour some warm water and voila, the baked on stuff just falls off! On rare occasion I have used a plastic scraper but quite frankly I cannot remember the last time that I had to use it. I can't say enough good remarks about this bakeware. It is well worth the price. Once you try a piece you will be sold! Thanks and God Bless!

Emile Henry is Fabulous
Once you bake in Emile Henry, you are spoiled forever. I love this bake ware. I've used it exclusively for 15 years or so for baking and roasting. After baking, you must let it cool naturally, hand wash it and pay attention to not letting the bottom (which is unglazed) sit it water or it will undermine the whole dish. Very easy to care for, actually, and will last you a lifetime if you do.

Great upgrade for me
First Emile Henry purchase but it won't be my last as I have already purchased an Emile Henry butter pot. The quality of this baking dish is wonderful and it is so much more attractive than my regular baking dish. I especially notice and appreciate how much better this baking dish holds heat and how much more easily it can be cleaned to like-new. I love it.
