Outdoor Shielded Direct Burial Cat5e Ethernet Copper Cable 200ft

Built an outbuilding for my music hobby a couple of years ago. I have a LOT of trouble getting wifi out of my house that direction, so I did a DDWRT router from one window to another router in the building. Worked "fair" at best and required regular rebooting. It went down while I was working the other day and never got decent reliable connectivity since. Not sure if the problem was the main router or the DDWRT router but I was getting speeds or less than 1mbps out there. Not going to get it doing VOIP calls. Either way, that was the final straw since replacing the routers wasn't going to be cheap and there was no guarantee that it would fix it. Decided to go cabled which is what I should have done in the first place.Pretty pleased with the quality of the cable. Waterproof jacket appears that it will last a long time. Well built. Some reviewers complained about the ends being sloppy, but that wasn't an issue with mine. Looked fine to me. Buried it directly in the ground about 4 inches or so and conduit where it comes out of the ground. We shall see how it performs over the long haul. So far? My connections are now 24mbps. My computer runs really fast, and my streaming will support not only my TV but two others streaming in the house at the same time. Best I ever got out there was about 7 due to the DDWRT router having to repeat the signal. Now I am not wasting bandwidth this way.This cable gets a lot cheaper in longer lengths but I only needed 100ft so the price was decent. Very pleased.

While burying this product, I accidentally knicked the outer rubber casing. THIS WAS MY FAULT AND NOT A RELECTION OF THE PRODUCT WHATSOEVER.However, I did not observe any "gel-filled flooded core" goop oozing from the cable. It would have made me feel better, but perhaps I did not penetrate the cable sufficiently to see it. I wrapped it excessively with electrical tape plus tye-wraps at both ends of my tape job, but I wish I had included silicone sealer prior to taping.In any case, this is high-quality cable with high-quality ends (shielded RJ45 connectors).Certainly a highly recommended product!

Very good quality. I needed a Cat5 cable that could be buried for hooking up another building to my network. It worked perfectly. Just be sure to measure how many feet you need before ordering.

I bought this cable to extend my wireless network from my house to my workshop (located over 100 feet away).The section of cable between the house and workshop is buried underground, and the rest of it runs next to electrical and phone wires with no interference. The cable is very high quality, works just as advertised. I was concerned that my internet speeds would be slower in the workshop but that is not the case. I am very happy with the product and will buy from this seller again.

Great cable. I was running an extra line to an out building. This cable worked great. It is partially buried and partially run on a fence. I connected the internet to the building yesterday. I am totally satisfied with this product and would order again.

I ordered enough to go between my house and my daughter's house 150 feet away so we could share our internet. A switch on each end and it works great. This was strong secure cable. Just protect the ends while working with it until you are ready to plug them in.

Buried and put my own connectors on and getting full speeds and solid connection. Looks well made.

This cable came with RJ45 connectors already installed at each end - the cable itself is great but the RJ45 connectors (plugs) were not installed clean. Instead of a nice neat connection - there was shielding protruding from the connection and in one spot the wire insulator (under the shielding) was showing - you could actually see the colored wire insulator within. I cut off the factory connectors and redid them - - they look great now. I know that may seem a little extreme as I am not a clean freak by any means but I do like things done correctly and looking good when I complete an installation. Just a little surprised the person making the connections did not take a little more pride in his/her work to make a clean connection - obviously the manufacture does not have a quality control inspection prior to packaging.
