A New Friend (Penguin Young Readers, Level 1)

This is a cute story for early readers about friendship. The characters talk to each other in speech bubbles. My 1st grade students have enjoyed this book. I would recommend this book for late kindergarten/early 1st grade readers.

My daughter is in kindergarten and learning to read. (She is on level 5) She loves this book! Constantly reading it to her baby brother and anyone else who will listen. She thinks the friendship is cute and that she can read it completely on her own.

Absolutely love this book! It helped my son to read quickly and he thoroughly enjoyed the story! He's only 4. Highly recommend this book for an early reader.

I really like the simple sentences for my very very beginning readers.

Love this book - super simple for beginning readers - my younger son (kindergarten) figured out some words on his own and soon learned the rest so he can now read this book on his own and is very proud of himself :)

A great book for beginner reading

got this with a Bob book for my grandaughter and she loved it!! Mom did too!!!!!

This book was perfect for my pre-k emerging reader! I'd been searching for a "real" book for her so she could feel like one of the big kids and this was perfect!

started with 'Tiny goes to the Library' and got a few more from the series - very happy :)This level is a bit simple if the goal is to entertain ~2yo.

Great for very beginner reader. Simple words and short sentences with repeating words. Fun and sweet!
