Maxtek Black 10 Disc Capacity DVD Cases with 4 Flip Trays and Outter Clear Sleeve, 10 Pieces Pack

I liked to buy old tv shows and they always come in those cardboard sleeves. Which I don’t like cause they scratch the dvd and these cases worked great.

I bought these to replace the cases for two 8 disc sets that came in a fold up holder made of cardboard and clear plastic disc retainers. They were awkward to use, and from past experience, the clear plastic disc retainers are so brittle they eventually break. I have other multi disc sets where these cases would a big improvement. I think these cases are an excellent value for keeping discs safe and easy to take out and put back without damage. Highly recommended.

I use several sizes of Maxtek DVD cases in my digital transfer business. They are very sturdy and a good overall value.I do have two dislikes though.1), the reverse side of the posts that hold the DVDs in the case seem very rough. I’ve had a few disks scratched and damaged by rubbing on these rough spots. I’m considering using fine sandpaper to smooth those rough edges. As a note, I’ve compared these to cases by other manufacturers and these do seem slightly rougher.2). It’s sometimes difficult to release the DVD. It seems the release mechanism (button) is stiff.Would I purchase them again? Yes, definitely!

Excellent product for the price, Though the gauge of the plastic cover is not as heavy as more expensive equivalents (e.g. Uline cases) and the cases lack interior clips for holding artwork, these CD/DVD cases are more than sufficient for home-use. One of the biggest pluses is the free shipping. Not only are most competitive products more expensive but their shipping charges can be prohibitive. Amazon Plus really pays off here. One drawback - as another reviewer remarks - is the noticeable smell produced by the plasticizer used in the manufacture of the cases. All cases of this type (presumably made of PVC) have such a smell, but the one Maxtek's supplier uses is among the most disageeable. But who whiffs DVD cases anyways? Just keep it away from your nose. I've never heard of the plasticizers having a negative effect on CD's or DVD's, if you keep the cases away from heat and out of direct sunlight, which one would do in any case to protect your CD's or DVD's.An item that I really like about the 10-disc case is how compact it is. The width of the case is only fractionally more than my 6- or 8- disc cases.

The Maxtek 6 disc cases are awesome (standard size and the 14mm ones)Maxtek 8 disc cases also awesome... The 10's are, close but they are reaching the size where they seem a little flimsy. They still work good, but occasionally the inside flaps will get caught and prevent the case from snapping shut. I've also noticed that most of the cases in the pack are bowed, so the sides push out a bit so they don't sit snugly side by side on they shelf. I'm a bit more particular about the appearance of the cases on the shelf then others, so maybe it is a bit of a nit-pic more than a real issue. They also seem to have more free space in the case when closed, so the inside "pages" move around more than the slightly smaller cases.The cases hold a good number of movies in a small amount of space.

My family has SO MANY movies that we realized a few years ago we needed to combine DVDs into a more compact space… enter these cases. They aren’t super perfect quality material but they get the job done really well. We’ve moved states with these boxes and they’ve held up pretty well. We’ve had to replace a few of them due to cracking easily but otherwise they get the job done. Definitely recommend. 👍🏼

They are not indestructible. But they do what they are supposed to do. AND,,, they have the clear window wrap around plastic for what ever art or text you might need to add. Life is good.

I buy a lot of disc-replacement cases. It's easier to replaced a smashed-in-the-mail case, that send it back for a replacement.The black ones, and the WHITE ones, are okay, but I prefer the [hard-to-find] Transparent ones.The clear ones are preferable to me because you can see both sides of the Title Wrap-around.THIS type is of average thickness, but, holds 10 discs, with adequate disc-security!

i like the item but when i ordered it the box was torn and the plastic on the cases where also torn
