Value, a good product
What I dislike. NOTHING. What did I like. Everything about this product. I was able to effortlessly move many of my pictures and videos from my 16 gig iPhone 6 freeing up valuable space. With the app and this device, right out of the box it is so easy to use

lighting connector got broken in only few weeks :(
To be fair I will give this product a 1 star because it's reliabilityIt's working fine the first few times but not really go a long way then the lighting connector didn't work anymore.I got it replaced once without questions asked which is awesome. But today when I tried to use it the lightning didn't work again.I feel so disappointed about this product because I believe photofast is really a great company but they apparently didn't do a good job at making good quality products. As a "backup" drive it totally lost it's reputation and I will not recommend it to anyone.

great product to swap files from phone/ipad to computer
great product to swap files from phone/ipad to computer. The lightening plug could be a little longer to make up for cases on phone/ipad, but otherwise works exactly as planned. I had previously bought an external wifi hard drive but this is much easier.

Buggy and flimsy
Bought this to replace a smaller one that I previously owned. This "worked" for about a week. After that, the usb connection to my pc required me to unplug all other usb devices to work. Transfer time is faster than usb 2.0 but slower than I expected for usb 3.0.My big issue with this device now is that the lightning jack has completely stopped working. So now, I am left with an overpriced usb drive without the ability to use this with my ipad.Compared to the other model that I previously bought, this did not last a single trip and feels very flimsy. I had liked that the cover for the lightning jack was connected, but that is now moot since I will not have to remove it any more.

Performs as advertised.
I would give this product 5 stars if the plastic cover on the USB end stayed attached like the lightning drive end.

Great idea, let down my lack of native access and and a not-quite-good-enough app
This is a good, fast, USB3 stick that just happens to plug into the lightning socket of an iPhone or iPad. The price is about right for the storage, as of writing. Speeds when transferring files from a Mac were impressive. Not as fast as an internal PCI-E SSD, obviously, but as good as a SATA SSD from 3 years ago, and with only 128Gb of storage, it's doubtful that much time would be saved with a faster interface. Now, it's not the manufacturer's fault that Apple don;t allow direct disk access in iOS, which would make this a first-class citizen for any iPhone or iPad needing extra storage. So it's natural they had to create an app to access the files on the drive. This makes the quality of that app of paramount importance to the overall usability of the device. What they diid was make a confusing mish-mash of backup options (which never make it clear what will be accessed and who will see it) and bundled tech replacing native iOS options.I stayed away from the backup options after the FAQ, the settings themselves and the menu items failed to illuminate me regarding what would and would not be extracted from my phone. I did, however, try a bunch of media files transferred from my Mac.The good news? This plays MKV, M4A, MP3, FLAC, PDF files natively. The bad? It does it inside the app (although you can use the sharing pane to send them to other apps). It also won't play and M4V purchased from the iTunes store, despite it being on a device which is registered to the correct account. And that's because everything you can do with the files is, by default, done by the app. Their clunky video player, their inferior music player, their PDF viewer. It's frustrating, and I can only hope that the next version of iOS allows access to the file system of this USB stick. Until then, I'd say buy this if you want a 128Gb USB stick that you can occasionally plug in to your iOS device. If all you really want is more storage on your phone, put the $100 against the storage increase next time you upgrade, since it costs the same to go from 16Gb to 128, or 128Gb to 256.
