Original SpiraLife Spiralizer Vegetable Slicer – Vegetable Spiralizer - Spiral Slicer Cutter

The stick-to-the-counter spiralizer did not work for me at all. It took up too much counter space in my small kitchen, was difficult to use, and made a mess. Washing and drying it by hand was time-consuming (I don't own an automatic dishwasher). And with space at premium storing the awkward-shape thing was a hassle and the extra blade cartridges kept falling out every time I moved it. Storing it in its box took up even more valuable space. Then I bought the Vegetable Spiralizer by Spiralife. When it arrived I took it out of the box, washed it, put a zucchini in, gave it a few turns over a serving bowl, and I was done. I rinsed it off, toweled it dry, and because it's no bigger than a pint glass it was easy to store in my cupboard. All in ten minutes or less. The two blades satisfy all my spiralizing needs. It feels very sturdy and is comfortable to use even with small hands like mine. The overall design looks so good you can leave it out on your counter. I can see it as a great conversation piece. Oh, and the follow-up email with tips and recipes is a nice bonus. I love this thing! It's worth every penny. I'm thinking of getting a couple more of these to give as gifts. As a side note, I paired my Spiralife with a Benriner veggie slicer. Together they cost about the same as a good quality countertop spiralizer, do everything the counter-toppers do, are easier to use and clean, are portable, and take up much, much, much less space.

This product is great. It came well packaged and in a cute little bag. I personally kept it to put the accessories in and keep them together. I had originally bought a similar product, however it did not come with the top piece of any of the accessories and I cut my finger the very first time I used it. Yikes, blood and food definitely don't mix. Fast forward a few months and I decided to give it another try, but decided I needed a better product for cheap. I chose this spiralizer because of the top piece and the cleaning accessories that came with it. Both were important for me because of my last experience. My boyfriend isn't big into voodles so I needed something cheap in case I wasn't able to use it that much. This product definitely fit the bill and even though it's cheap it works great! Definitely a great product if you don't want to spend a ton of money on something you don't use everyday. Things I LOVE: -The top piece makes it easy to use more of the vegetable and get more noodles. -The kit comes with a cleaning brush. -It also comes with a bag you can store the accessories in. -It held up in the dishwasher. (I hate hand washing dishes!) I really don't have any complaints about this product. Shipping was quick and the product came packaged well. So far so great!

A decent little, inexpensive handheld spiralizer. I works and mostly works well. I've used it several times with zucchini and squash to make either a main dish "spaghetti" or as a side dish. It does well, but I wouldn't categorize it as "great". It seems like the blades could be a little sharper to slice through the zuck's when they are "pencil-point" shaped and fully engage with the blades, but it's not going to wear your arms out, even when doing a couple pounds of zucchini for dinner. It does take a zucchini or two to get used to it and "perfect" your technique. Wash and cut ONE end off, then insert the cut end into the spiralizer, keeping it as straight and centered as possible, then rotate like a pencil in a manual pencil sharpener. The first turns are very easy as it is only cutting the edges, but once becomes pointed, like a sharpened pencil, it gets a little harder to turn, but not bad at all. When you start getting toward the end, there isn't much left outside to grip, so you use the end cap with the spike and stick them into the uncut end - leaving it uncut let's the spikes get a better grip instead of "stripping out" on the softer innards if you cut both ends - then turn the cap to get as much as possible out of each zucchini. A small amount of waste is left over, a "cone" and the inner core, which are not spiralized, but it isn't that much. Final tip, when picking out your zucchini's at the store, straighter is better making the job a little easier. I'm happy with this slicer and continue to use it - I'm pretty picky, so if it was bad, I wouldn't use it - and am looking for a larger, crank spiralizer for when it's the main dish. I'll still use this for side dishes as it is quick, pretty easy, and clean-up is a breeze. Just poke out any bits hanging around on the inside and pop it in the dishwasher.

This item came as expected. I knew it was small but it’s the perfect size. The cleaning brush added was a nice addition and good quality. I can’t wait to try it out. The customer support and follow up is amazing!

The spiral slicer easily produces "Zoodles" or zucchini noodles which are great as part of a low carb diet. It works with any firm vegetable and the slicer on the other end is great for slicing veges up for a salad. I have found it to be easy to clean and was very pleased with the quality of the product as well as the price.

I watched the video on YouTube for this product and the video made this spiralizer look easy to use. However, it is not. The spikes on the lid, meant to hold the vegetable while turning, are not long enough to hold any vegetable for more than a few turns. The amount of force need to turn the vegetable is too great for the size of the instrument.
