Purchased a while back and glad I bought it. I don't keep it mounted, but in my truck and when on dirt roads at night put on top with cord running out back window and plugged into accessory 12v outlet. Remote control is incredible and have used past 1 small block away and still worked fine. Light is super bright, but is not a flood. I didn't like at first because it doesn't light up my back yard, but is a very focused beam. When I finally used on long dirt roads I like this set up more because I can adjust far ahead and see beyond my headlights. Remote has fast and slow speed and its great to use both. once you are close, the slow speed keeps it on target while driving. I have used in rain and no problems. I prefer the LED for the bright clean color and low draw. Expensive, but it feels like a professional unit. Only negative is that it doesn't rotate a full 360 degrees in a continuous motion. You need to mount it forward or backwards depending on which direction you will use it most. Side note, I did buy the lens made for the older halogen unit to diffuse the LED's like a flood and you have to modify lens a bit (file some plastic), but It can flood now if I want it to. Greatly loses distance of course, but now I have the best of both worlds.

For the price of this light you shouldn’t have to clip a plastic lease to it to make it a flood light. You should be able to get it in a spot or flood option. It’s a monster of a spot light but impractical for working environments without the flood lense adaptation. With the lense cover it works pretty good but they could easily design an actual flood light.
