Delicious Dark Chocolate
Excellent Belgian Chocolate worth every penny.

Always the best
Best chocolate ever. Melts in your mouth. Just don’t get it in the summer.

Amazing
I haven’t been to Brussels in years. I was so excited to have these chocolates. They are inferior to anything you can ever imagine.

Tastes the same as the Neuhaus I bought in Brussels.
I lived in Brussels for several years. There was a Neuhaus shop right down the street. We were frequent customers. This product IS no different than the chocolate we bought in Belgium. It's just as delicious and IS a product from Belgum. This is a special treat that we purchase on Amazon frequently. Unfortunately, I don't trust the heat so we'll be buying our last box until summer is over. Don't believe the reviews saying it doesn't come close, because it IS the same and worth every penny.

Not even close to the real Belgian Neuhaus
I had a real box of Neuhaus chocolates for Christmas in Europe and decided to try it again in the USA. Visibly the same box was an absolute joke in terms of quantity, quality, and selection. The US version has 3 stories of repeating themes instead of 4-5 stories of unique themes. Why only 3 stories? Because so much space is dedicated to cardboard trays where in Europe the stories are separated by thin slices of paper. The legend paper is legit but useless in the USA as 75% of those items are missing from the boc. The number of chocolates is half or less of those found in Europe. The taste is also a joke and no better than any brand sold at Walgreens-nothing like the real Belgian Neuhaus. Finally, the price is a ripoff!

There’s nothing better than new house chocolate

Good chocolate but elderly by the time I got it.
Love neuhaus but better to order directly because of freshness. I was lazy, don’t you be.

Nice, creamy chocolate, but the chocolate flavor is not complex - a bit one-note
My tastes in chocolate tend to be a little expensive. I like dark (75%, give or take 5%) chocolate, and I like complex flavors. Some chocolate, such as Lindt, can be dark with that bitterness I like, but the flavors are muted and more simple. This contains dark, milk, and white chocolate. I would say that this chocolate hews closer to those simpler, more uniform flavors. However, that doesn’t mean I dislike this. On the contrary, I’ve been very happy to eat this chocolate. It has a nice, creamy texture, and even the milk chocolate pieces taste good. I’m confident that most people, even chocolate snobs, will find something in this box that they enjoy. There are 18 pieces, and there is a booklet included. Unfortunately, the booklet is not just for this box. It contains many more varieties of chocolate pieces than what you get with this set, but you can find the pieces here within that booklet somewhere. The only issue I have with this is the price. While I think this tastes good, good enough that I’m conflicted on whether I should sneakily eat these all on my own or whether I should share, I don’t know that I really think this is worth $50, and that is with the understanding that assorted boxed chocolates such as these tend to cost more than other types of chocolate. Now, I haven’t eaten all of the pieces yet, but of the ones I’ve had, they’ve been good with nice mouth feel, but the flavors of the chocolate on the outsides are a bit one-note, mostly sweet while being a little bit bitter for the dark pieces. I’m not getting a variety of complex flavors such as fruitiness or smokiness or all of the other things you might get with chocolates that have retained more of their volatile organic compounds that come with the different varieties of cacao beans, different roastings, fermentations, and length of grinding that all come into play when making chocolate. These are tasty, indulgent treats, but there’s nothing particularly special or memorable going on here to make me want to spend that much money on these 18 pieces of chocolate.
