Top of the line adventure watch
This smartwatch is actually a computer, between all the fitness features, outdoor activity profiles and applications, this watch is surely to meet and exceed your expectations. I've been wearing my for almost two months now, and came from two previous Garmin devices (instinct and the Vivoactive 4), and always liked the ruggedness of the instinct but with the features, watch faces an touch screen of the Vivoactive 4, and after reading a lot about all the devices in Garmin line, I seriously evaluated buying an Enduro, an instinct 2 or a tactix. What I wanted was the battery life of the Enduro, the ruggedness of the instinct 2 and the activity profiles and looks of the tactix. Let me tell you, this Garmin 7x sapphire solar, has it all, I'm very happy with my decision. So far a solid watch, very eye catching and wit a lot of functionalities. Another thing I really like is that with Garmin's quick fit watch band system, you can have a totally different watch just by rapidly exchanging the watch bands, I specially like the titanium ones for a very modern yet tough style, and for a formal occasion there are leather bands and analog watch faces that can give you a very classy look. Summarizing: in my opinion, is the best smart watch in the market, considering all the training features, outdoor activity profiles and functions, it's toughness is unmatched with it's titanium bezel and solar sapphire crystal, which means you need no screen protector or cover and lastly, is a watch that always looks good in any situation, just by changing the watch bands, you have a totally different watch, appropriate for any occasion. Highly recommended.

It's from Garmin, so what do you expect? Amazing product. I have now had this watch for two years going on three and it has not come off my wrist very much at all. I am an extremely active person but had an uncontrolled health scare in 2023. I purchased this watch in order to keep a tab on my vitals and conditioning (specifically sleep and stress measurements). This watch is very rugged and looks very tactical on your wrist as well. Without hesitation, I can recommend this watch for those that want top performance, bullet proof reliability and almost endless customizable features that will help you achieve and then reset your fitness goals.

I don't know how anyone could improve on this!
I have owned a Garmin Fenix 3 for years and absolutely love it. I am not a proffessional athlete, track star or competative cyclist. Heck, I don't even play golf (well, Putt Putt). This watch is WAY more than I need (so typical of me). It does everything I want including trackeing steps, cycle rides, GPS maps, turn my turn directions, links with my phone and stores music. The real reason I wanted to upgrade is my old watch is looking pretty tired and I liked the improved GPS, solar support, better altimeter, and longer battery life. I really enjoy it just as I did the Fenix 3 but probably should not have spent the money. I would wait until the next gen comes out and wait for the price to drop or go with the Fenix 6 which has many of the same upgrades. But......I love the watch!

Excellent watch. Exceeding my expectations
Excellent watch. The enhanced battery by solar charging is a game changer. Touch screen is also very good and I love the way it disables during the hike. Big face is perfect for maps when out hiking. There is so much on the watch that I haven’t tried yet! Love it!

First off, I am not new to the 'smartwatch' game, and have been wearing them daily for the past 6 years or so. The Fenix 7 x Solar Sapphire is however in a different league. I have a pretty good idea of what I like and dislike about these devices and their daily use. I have enjoyed a Samsung Galaxy S3 Frontier, as well as a Mobvio Tickwatch Pro 3 Ultra GPS (less enjoyed). Both very 'smart' focused, and less watch. There is a lot to like with this Garmin. The reason that I was attracted to the Garmin Fenix series was initially the battery life. I was pretty shocked to read that you can get up to 21 (or 23) days battery life, having come from 2 that could not get better than 2 even when new. Other reasons I was interested in the Fenix were GPS functions, expedition tracking and so on. The pre-loaded detailed maps are great, Garmin is of course one of the leaders in this area on many fronts... so that was also an appealing aspect (though I have not used it much yet). I received the device at 90% charged, and did not charge it more... 2.5 weeks in it is telling me I still have 10 days left. So far I have to say that I am very happy with this device. The 7 x is nice and large, and fits my wrist nicely. The smaller 45mm cases seem...small. I am not a BIG guy, but apparently I have chonky wrists I guess? I am also very happy with the screen, which is easily readable and the tilt to turn on function is excellent compared to the others I have tried. I am really liking the sleep tracking and recovery tracking functions. I will also add that the 'smart' features are pretty solid too. SMS and notifications work great, and the apps are all so far pretty solid. So a win on that front too. So far I am very happy with this device and expect many years use and enjoyment. PROS: - Large case, looks great and fits me well - Solar charging and sapphire crystal are both BIG wins on this device - Superb battery life - App support seems good (Strava, Spotify and a few others tried so far) - Tilt screen functionality is responsive and works well - Screen is bright and easy to read (far easier than my other devices) - Lots of features to keep techie watch nerds like me busy - Supposedly integrates well with my Bosch powered ebike apps and BT (TBD) CONS: - Cost / price is a bit steep, but feature rich and powerful so you might just get what you pay for here - Band is a bit 'creaky' at the interface between the case and the strap pins - Not much else so far (will update if I find more) Overall, I think this is a powerful, responsive and useful tool that looks great and functions well.

I upgraded from the VIVO ACTIVE 4 which had a screen pixel issue. I will mention Garmin customer service was a breeze and replaced the screen for free but I still preferred the upgrade to the Fenix 7x Sapphire Solar for the following reasons. The previous watch did not have a tennis setting, so I would manually have to change the activity on a frequent basis. I love the morning report and high detail customizable watch face. I frequently would be checking my phone or watch for weather, sunrise. sunset and now this information is readily displayed and receive a morning report in addition. I will admit, I am not a runner and I did not like seeing that my training readiness was always "no status." This will change when I start biking after the snow melts so for the meantime, I changed the watch face to simply say "FENIX" where it previously said "no status." The long battery life is also key for me seeing as how the previous watch would need to be charged more frequently. At times, I can be completing three activities in the day and need a watch with battery life that can truly keep up and be more convenient. I prefer the non LED, smartphone screen like on the watch, especially for when reading the report in the morning and seeing the watch more clearly in day/outdoor settings. The flashlight also is a very cool feature that has already proved useful! I was initially concerned with the size before ordering online, however, the size and weight of the device are insignificant. I do not feel the watch on my wrist at all...so much so, that I sometimes freak out that I may not be wearing it! Not enough of a freak out to set off the emergency services setting though! ;)

I had another which I had worn daily for 13 years...and then I saw someone wearing THIS watch, and I knew I had to get one too! No shame in my game LOL! I asked the person what model it was and what they liked about it...and bought one! It is now the watch I wear every day! It is lightweight, it is stylish and it does everything I need it to do with relative ease! Yep, it is currently the most expensive watch I have ever bought, but I do not regret it one cent. As for my former favorite watch...it's filed for divorce.

I have previously owned Fenix 5X and 6X. Now I have a 7X. I have many other excellent watches (Seiko and Tissot), but this 7X is my favorite. Its big as most such fitness smart watches are, but the titanium case makes it light in weight. The battery is excellent, such as 21 to 28 days on single charge (when GPS is not used); compared to 36 hours for smart watch (ie: Apple, Samsung). Why I upgraded to 7X? - Touch screen, LED spot light, longer battery life, solar cell ring, multi-band GPS. I have stopped using Samsung Galaxy watch, as I was annoyed with necessity for daily charge each night. Meanwhile, the Garmin Fenix can go for a few weeks without charge (if not GPS tracking); or many days if I merely track an hour jog each evening. I use this for daily use, office (email notifications), sport activities (jogging, hiking, cycling).
