I bought this because I wanted to be able to hang my heavy soaking wetsuit over my tub to dry. I would give it 5 stars because It's a very nice, decent sturdy piece but the placement of the mounting holes don't accommodate mounting to wall studs since the top 2 holes are spread out too far. the 3 mounting holes are in a V shape. If they changed the mounting bracket to be taller and have just 2 holes in line with each other, this would be a perfect design. You'll either need to attach a piece of wood to the wall studs first and then attach this hanger to that piece of wood or find some other way to mount it to a sturdy surface. I wouldn't trust wall anchors because the amount of leverage the hanging items can apply could rip them right out.

The item is well made, well and attractively designed, strongly built and very functional.This will be used in the limited space behind an airing cupboard door to hand recently ironed shirts and is ideal for this purpose.Previous uses have been in hall closets to provide adequate hanging for our own and visitors' coats when access and space has been at a premium. Again the design and function of this item proved ideal for the task.The four positions available plus a complete fold down when not required make the item one of the best we have found for these specific needs.

This product totally met my expectations. Thanks to the reviews I read, I used longer screws and plugs instead of the ones sent. I can confidently hang six wet garments to dry on each of my three new valet hooks. We have a small laundry room but the drying room capacity has now increased 18-fold thanks to this product. I wish I had discovered it years ago!

I purchased this valet/hook for our guest room. It has a closet but no hanging rod, only for foldable items. I put this hook on the side of the closet front just like in this picture and it is perfect. Sturdy and enough space for a few items but not so much that our guests want to stay forever... perfect for the guest room. The supplied screws are way too short as others have noted; use your own, longer screws and attach the hook to a stud. Recommended.

I got this for the very small laundry room in my new house, for my knit shirts - I don't put them in the dryer, and previously, I've just draped them over chairs, the dryer, etc. to dry them! This is much more practical (and looks better). It was easy to install, although be careful - I almost installed it upside down! I keep a few hangers nearby and just hang up my knits when they come out of the washer. I hung it right beside my washing machine so it's super convenient. I also like the chrome - nice finish.

We needed more room in the laundry room, and replaced a small hanging bar (2 brackets and a short wood pole) with this.We LOVE IT. It takes the weight of anything we hang on it - including 6 sets of drapery panels (my wife has a pro workroom) with heavy black-out lining. NOTE: I put this on a metal door, so obviously a light laminate job will not get it done - but the "Laundry Valet" ROCKS.I labored over this decision, since there were 5 other choices when I ordered. No regrets. It's worth every penny.

I have a walk-in closet, but prefer all the hanging space doubled. I purchased multiple/garment hangers to maximize the number of items the rack would handle. Each hanger holds 3 dresses, so I hang 15 on this fantastic Valet! If you don't need the permanent storage, push the arm up out of the way. Just use it for pulling items for packing, or as a clothes dryer! Love. Just be sure to hit a stud with one of the screws. This baby can be heavy fully loaded.

These work great. I attached a board to the wall secured by studs to ensure the valet could support the weight. I used them in a hall closet that was not deep enough for hangers on a typical rod. I put one on each side of a closet organizer with shelves/drawers and it works great!
