Fiesta 28-Ounce Gusto Bowl, Tangerine

I love all my Fiestaware…I was looking for a slate bowl to use with my Halloween decorations. I was delighted to find a piece of Fiestaware in this color. I was EXTREMELY pleased with the packaging and delivery of this product. I will be ordering from them again!

I use this bowl for everything: cereal, oatmeal, salad, nachos, soup, ice cream, sandwiches (cut up into smaller pieces), and even as a drinking cup.I even use it to cook and bake. For example, the bowl is 24 ounces or 3 cups (1 cup = 8 ounces), many bread recipes use 3 cups of flour. Need 4 cups of flour? You can just fill the bowl 1/3 of the way to get 1 cup and then add it to the previous 3 cups measured out. You can also place diced vegetables into the bowl and measure ingredients that way.The bowl is also easy to clean. I have not encountered any food stains that require intense scrubbing. Another nice addition is that the bowl does not heat up easily. I've eaten hot noodles out of it and used it to microwave food without my hands being burnt when touching the bowl.Note, the bowl is 6 inches in diameter and 3 inches in height. It is compact and durable enough to take to school or work. Just cover the top with aluminum foil and tie a rubber band around it.At the time, this was the cheapest bowl I could find for $15.

I love this bowl. It's perfect for anything liquid since it has such high sides. I use it mostly for soup, stew, and rice.Size-wise, I've found that every ounce makes a difference. For example, this bowl is fine, but a 19 ounce bowl I tried felt *way* too small, even though the difference is only 20%. The best way to decide is to measure your current bowl if you have one you're happy with: Use a measuring cup to measure how much water your bowl holds (1 cup = 8 oz) and you'll have your answer!Lastly, the one thing I wish were different about this bowl: Many bowls have a lip sticking out around the edge. If you microwave something in your bowl, the bowl heats up, but the lip stays cool, giving you somewhere to grasp the bowl without burning yourself. Without much of a lip, this bowl can be hard to pick up after heating something in the microwave.

We have an entire set of Fiesta ware but needed some larger bowls. These will work great.

Receipt of order was timely and product was well-packed. What a pleasure to look at, hold, and use this made in USA bowl. Wife loves this bowl for soups, stews, and cereal, just like I love mine (which is in poppy color). The steep sides make microwaving oatmeal easy without risk of boil-over. When sitting side by side in our cupboard, these pieces are works of art.

WARNING - lots of broken dishes and multiple orders to finally get our full set. We registered for these dishes for our wedding, so we got some here, some there and ended buying the last of it on our own. It took multiple orders to finally complete the set. So many of them arrived broken. Box was in perfect condition, but the packing job was not good to down right horrible. The box in the photo contained 4 or 5 pieces (bowls and plates), yet the box had very little cushion and was over 1/2 the length of my couch. WTH?!!!!!That being said, we love to dishes. Timeless, classic, heavy, made in America (yay - no lead risk!)... we are really glad we chose to go with Fiestaware.

Bought this as my cereal bowl at work. Yes, I love my cereal and always keep a stash of it in my cabinets; thankfully work supplies the milk! It's quite heavy, for a bowl at least, and gives the impression that it ought to last forever. Oh, and they're microwave safe too... great for colder days in which oatmeal is the order of the day. :-)My one issue is the color. I ordered the Scarlet version and the bowl I received is nowhere close to as vivid red as suggested by the photos online. A bummer, but for a one off, not a huge deal. That said, if I ordered several of these for use at home I'd likely send them back. Perhaps I'm just unlucky; but it's something to bear in mind.
