Generic 50 Pcs Screw PCB Stand-Off Spacer Hex M3 Male x M3 Female 15mm Length

These are ideal for mounting PCBs - all you need to do is to (maybe drill) then tap the hole in the PCB mounting studs using an M3 tap, also drill clearance holes in the PCB. Stack further PCBs on top if you need to, using more stand-offs, then finally hold the top PCB in place with short M3 screws. The 15mm spacer gives adequate space for most electronic components - you can screw spacers together if you need more space.

They work with smooth threads and seem quality.In case anyone is wondering as I was, they are 15mm along the hexagonal part, with 6mm of threaded part, making them 21mm over all, which is what I expected.Oddly they distance between flats is on the hex part is 3/16" and not a round metric number like 4.5mm, which I found odd. I found a 3/16" socket to work perfectly to tighten these into a tight spot my fingers wouldn't fit. You can turn these with a 5mm socket but just barely and you'll probably round off the corners if you apply too much torque.
