If she is referring to these great classics as the knock-offs, she obviously grew up in a cave. The picture not only shows THE CLASSIC CARE BEARS and NOT the mongoloid versions of what they became in 2007, but the darn little stars in EACH of the four pictures read "ORIGINAL CLASSIC SERIES"!!! What you are getting here, folks, is select episodes from the 1980's original Care Bears series. Fun little adventures that used the same great animation techniques involved with The Care Bears Movie (1985) and The Care Bears Movie 2: The New Generation (1986). They are not cheap, far from foreign, and contain a plethora of hidden and not so hidden moral messages all wrapped up in great, entertaining adventures. The only "vested" interests I have in this company would be that they are trying to keep classic television alive by allowing us to own great cartoons from our days as children, in order to share with our own children. Being born in the 80's, my parents always went on and on about cartoons from their hay-day, such as Honk Kong Fui, Gigantor, Diver Dan, Richochet Rabbit and Johnny Quest. And it wasn't until the mid-90's when a channel began syndicating such shows that I really got to see what my parents were talking about. And now the people who owned the rights to these classics have, just in the last 10 or so years, started putting them out in DVD format, and it's just AWESOME! So yes, folks, especially if you don't mind sharing some television history with your young one, this is perfect. My three year old son absolutely LOVES the classic Care Bears. Review: LOVE THIS! - Who doesn't love the Carebears!? the orginal carebears are what i grew up on! now i can share them with my family and they all love them as much as i did! They have some hidden lessons in them that i didn't realize i was learning from when i was little. but now that i am older and am watching them i can see where i learned some of the things that i do now! There is one of the stores that actually made me cry when i figured out what it was about. it was the story about the sleeping Giant. it has a hidden meaning about helping a child deal with death! it is just AWESOME! this is a MUST have for any child!

LOVE THIS!

Great original Care Bears episodes, 25 different Care Bears shows, awesome value! :)
This is a great set! Each Title has like 4-8 episodes in it, so you really get 25 different Care Bears shows. I kept my 3 1/2 year old and 2 year old busy for hours watching these! And it's the original Care Bears, but it's not corny like some of the original episodes were. Very quality buy!

Care Bears all day - everyday!
My 3yr old is obsessed and as a mom who grew up on these care bears I don't mind watching hours of a kids show (I even remember certain episodes!) What a great price for so many classic memories!

Takes me back to my childhood.
I got this for my two-year-old because she was all of a sudden interested in my old care bear dolls - the movie is pretty dated (although it pains me to say). She still loves it and asks to watch it all the time.

hAppy And uplifting cARtoons
The CARe BeARs Four FeAture set feAture 352 running minutes of cArtoons that will AppeAl to mAny people. I enjoyed the FestivAL of Fun feature. However, the Adventures in Care A lot, kingdom of Caring, And mAgicAl Adventures will Also contain episodes that will Also AppeAl to vArious people/Age groups. Obviously, this set is great for kids. However, these cArtoons And vArious movies Are helping to stoke my creativity.

Stories from the original series!
We didn't know that this is a set with stories from the original series! We picked this because we wanted to introduce the Care Bears, which is one of our favorite childhood cartoons, to our little one, and this was the cheapest DVD. We love it because new series of any old cartoons are simply not as great! This DVD set has 2 discs and each disc is double-sided. Each side has 88 minutes of Care Bears! What a bargain!
