Q: How do these hold up in use after several months/years?

Very good quality. You will be pleased. So far carhartt has not lost quality standards. I'm sure they will have to soon because of Russia

I have 8 cards in mine. I try to keep this wallet lite unlike my other ones . But yes there's space.

Q: How many bill slots are there? Is it one or is there a split section for other bills and receipts?

Unfortunately just 1 but it's a great wallet. Durable and good looking.

Q: How thick is this wallet?

It's pretty thick. depending on how many cards and how many bills, it can range between 1/2" and 1" thick. It's a great wallet, though. I love it. Plus, it's Carhartt!
