Much more accurate than lower version
I had a Seiko 5 mechanical that couldn’t be wound or hacked. It was a nice looking watch but poor time keeper. This watch, however, is far more accurate. Gains maybe a minute or two a week. Looks very nice. Easy to read instantly. The orange really pops out. I wear it frequently and keep it ready to go with a cheap watch winder. Would definitely buy again. Also durable. I’ve used it fishing and doing farm work and not had any problems with scratches. The band is definitely upgraded from the thin canvas strap on entry level Seiko 5 watches.

Love this watch so much it is hard to take off!
I love this watch. It has everything. The size is just right. The band is high quality. It is a winding Seiko movement. The syringe hands are awesome. The lume glows orange. Highly legible. Also what some of us enjoy in a watch is from acute angles the crystal has a notable distortion (GOOD thing not a bad thing). The black coating is very thick and I am sure eventually will begin to wear but I have worn this for months day after day in all conditions with no discernible wear. The only caution is it is not a screw down crown so the water resistance is much lower. Don't forget the display case back! This is a made in Japan Seiko unlike others that can be Malaysia.

Great first automatic watch
I bought this Seiko 5 SRPH33 as my first automatic watch. The movement is decently accurate for the money. I end up gaining about 15 seconds within 1 week (a previous model I returned lost up to 28 seconds in 1 week). I very much appreciate the manual wind feature, which allows me to keep the watch running if I am not regularly wearing it. The day/date (in English and Spanish) is a very helpful feature as well, and helps me stay oriented to these details. I really like the unique orange markings on a black face. The contrast makes it pretty easy to tell the time in low light, which somewhat makes up for the fact that the orange Lumibrite doesn't last as long as the usual yellow/green color. Overall, great watch and definitely worth the money. I love it and am very happy with it.

Surprised by how much I like it!
I bought this watch based on the accessible price tag, thinking I would wear it only occasionally to fit a specific type of look, but have found myself reaching for it very often based on how nice it wears and how versatile I’ve found it to be in reality. The high-ish power reserve also helps since it's often accurate and keeping time even after more than a day off the wrist. There is a subtle difference in color between the face markings and the hands; not enough to feel intentional or to be immediately noticeable by others, but I see it whenever reading the watch and it’s probably the one low point that I notice, but it’s still a great watch & unbeatable value.

Have Been Less Than Satisfied With My Seiko
This was my first watch purchase in many years -- really since I've relied on my iPhone for time. A watch-enthusiast friend recommended this Seiko among others. I liked the look and thought I'd go with an automatic, based on his suggestion. On one hand, it looks nice and fits well. I like the 'Halloween' color scheme. On the other hand, the colors and overall look of the watch differ slightly to me, when compared with the online image. The colors of my watch are more subdued and the numbers, as well as the overall face seem slightly different -- a little duller. My other main complaint is that it's just not that accurate. I guess I'm spoiled by digital and atomic time, but this watch loses around 20 seconds or more per day. It aggravates me. I'm told it's within range and normal for an automatic, but other, older LCD or digital watches that I've owned were amazingly accurate. I wear it as a piece of ornamentation, but not as a timepiece. It's sort of a cautionary tale for me -- my watch-loving friend is dismissive about the accuracy issue -- 'You'll get over it', but I won't! My next watch will have a quartz movement and I'll be much happier. That said, I do wear it and am trying to look past its weaknesses, as overall I'm now interested in watches and am glad I dipped my toe into the watch world with this Seiko.

Great starter watch
It's a Seiko product so you already know you're getting pretty good quality.Fits well, looks great, nice domed crystal.Since the lume is orange it doesn't glow as bright or as long as other colors will. The dial is still readable in a dark environment, it's just a bit harder than others. The strap is durable but will need a little time to break since it's pretty stiff initially.Accuracy is acceptable for how much this watch costs. I am typically seeing 3-4 minutes fast after a week of wear.

Stops frequently
I purchased this watch in October 2024. It looks really nice. I like the orange hands and the black face. However, I can't give the watch a better rating than 2 stars because the watch stops frequently throughout the day and when it does run it loses time. I don't recommend buying this watch it will make you late for appointments and it doesn't keep proper time. Outside of it's nice looks it is worthless.

Automatic Winding, NOT MY WATCH.. DOES NOT WORK? I have to iwind it myself……
I have has several Seiko watches in the past but this one does not work as it should. I have several Timex watch, and Invicta and 3 Olen’s cheap watches and they work fine.. I’m rough on watches. When it stops or breaks I throw them in the trash, buy another one later on . I not going to tell you how many cell phones I have destroyed. Hell no, anyone spends $ thousand dollars on a cell phone is stupid yet that’s another subject. Where’s my Seiko your right in the trash dump by now covered up.. oh well as they say. TIME MARCHES ON. Make WATCH BANS LONGER .
