Poor quality
Poor quality The first time I used it the lock mechanism failed. It left me at the boat ramp trying to make sure the boat would not come loose. I Would not recommend purchasing this. I plan to return it

Do Not Buy
Product is trash says it holds 2500 lbs but it holds nothing. Gears just strip. Poor Quality and poorly built. Not worth the money.

The first time I used it the large gear bent in high speed let alone if I had been using low gear. My boat hull weighs 1300 lbs empty and the winch is rated for 3200 lbs.

Perfect replacement to winch up my 19ft, 2500 lb bowrider.

misleading item descriptions
Just received the winch today. The winch looks pretty good. However, there are the item description is very misleading. It is not steel rope as described but fabric. It is single stage(one speed) not as described two speeds. The picture on the web shows two speeds but actual item I got is single speed as show in sencond photo.

May be an OK product.
I do think this winch will work fine. I now must get a crank handle. As I get ready to install this on the boat trailer I realise the handle is not in the box. Maybe the Seller or Amazon will make this rite for me.....we shall see..???

It would be nice if the handle had a release mechanism to allow you to switch from fast to slow.
