My super smart vet told me it works--and it does!
I don't generally write reviews, but I just have to for this stuff. We just got a new puppy about a month ago, and we already had two 5-year-old cats. We went through the careful process of slowly introducing, and everything was going great. The cats were adjusting well and the puppy was behaving herself admirably, until about two weeks in. The pup decided to chase the smaller kitty up her kitty tower and proceeded to bark up a storm and lunge at her--playfully, not aggressively. The OTHER kitty decided to defend his sister and jumped on top of the puppy and started clawing her in a fury. Needless to say, I separated everyone immediately, but after that point, the defend-o-kitty became very tense and dog aggressive toward the puppy. It was a disaster. I began the slow process of introduction all over, but he wasn't doing nearly as well the second time around. The slightest bit of bouncy behavior made him want to attack the puppy, and he wasn't getting better. Now comes the vet. My next-door-neighbor is a brilliant Cornell University-trained vet who also has four dogs and four cats. I woefully relayed my story to her, and she recommended this stuff. NOTE: she said it would help--basically take the edge off--but not "fix" the problem by itself. It would just make the process smoother. My husband and I are both biochemists, and I figured this stuff was bunk--placebo effect and nothing more. I told her as much. She responded that it actually does truly work. So I bought it figuring I didn't have much to lose.So now, about a week later, my cat is a different kitty-man. He's just super happy. Like really happy. Walking around purring, tail held high more often, much less stressed, playing more, and much less tense. He stopped guarding the puppy as much, he lets her play and be bouncy and he doesn't freak out. He will still claw her if she runs over him, but he has never been a ball of fury like he was. Tonight he even licked the puppy's muzzle several times. I know this is all anecdotal evidence, but everyone in the house agrees that he is a totally different cat. He's just plain happy all the time now, and so he's much more patient.A few things to keep in mind: this is not a cure-all. It will probably help, but probably only with behaviors that can be helped with cats being "comforted" or calmed down. If your cat is peeing outside the litter box because you aren't cleaning it enough, or if it has a bladder infection or something, it won't do a lick of good. It also most likely won't make a behavior just disappear without any additional work. For example, I still have to put my pets through a slow, controlled introduction. I can't just plug this in and expect the pheromone to do all my work. But at least for our cat, it has made him so freakin' happy! It definitely makes the process easier. As a last side note, our other kitty, the one who was chased, is much less tense in general. She doesn't seem to be overly affected by the diffuser, but she wasn't especially tense before. She isn't that freaked by the pup and she's already very happy-go-lucky. I think she does seem to be playing more, though, and she's willing to play right next to the puppy. In summary, it's not a magic cure-all (most likely--maybe you're lucky), but it will probably help curb behaviors that are specifically stress-related. I will personally probably never stop using it, even after the cats and pup are comfortable with each other, just because it makes the cats happier. That alone is worth it to me.

Combo worked for me
One of my kitties is a bitch. I love her to death, but she is possessive of me and doesn't like any new cats. I went through this issue with her with the introduction of two previous kitties and now another has been introduced and she's at it again. There's been a couple scratches, some spraying, and quite a bit of hissing and spatting. Tired of the spraying, I looked into options to fix it and found Comfort Zone. They aren't cheap, but when you have a cat that's spraying, spending $20 doesn't seem like that big of a deal. So I bought two - one for fighting cats, and one for cats that are marking. I plugged them both in downstairs about 3 days ago with the knowledge that it could take up to a week to see results.I've seen results today. Previously my two fighting kitties couldn't even SEE one another without growling. That calmed down on its own prior to my plugging this thing in, but they still couldn't be near one another before ears would lay back, growling would start, and the claws would come out.But today, one of them was laying in her nest in the windowsill and the other hopped up there and started calmly sniffing at her. They didn't make friends exactly, but the fact that they were actually touching and sniffing each other without one or the other trying to remove flesh from bone is major progress!! This would not have happened three days ago. And, they've been in the same house together for almost two months, so I don't feel it's a coincidence either.

It probably works, but I don't think it's a miracle
I bought these because I was going on a week's vacation being cared for a pet sitter during this time and they have never been left alone overnight before. I was sure this would have been a stressful event for them; but maybe it was more so for me. I don't know if these worked while I was gone or could tell once I got back.I plugged them in 3 days before we left for our trip as they recommend for full effectiveness they need to work for 7 days. I plugged one upstairs in bedroom in the middle of the house with the door open to the hall and one downstairs behind a chair they love to scratch to my displeasure. The only thing I did notice when I got back is that one of my cats suddenly liked hanging out in the hallway by that bedroom whenever she was relaxing or suddenly became stressed (loud noise, etc.). But as far as the one downstairs, I don't think that stopped them from wanting to scratch the chair even thought there is literally a giant cat tree with several scratching posts next to it. I did notice that while we were away they liked sleeping on the couch because I had to vacuum a thick layer of cat hair that was in the shape of a sleeping cat.Relatives and neighbors stopped by to check on the cats and both said they seemed calm. My neighbor brought over her 8 month old baby and both cats were friendly; they were scared of her as a newborn.I will have to test this product again to see how effective it is. My cats without a diffuser are generally sweet, laid-back, and happy go lucky.

Broken
Received damaged piece that just didn't work. Even after I rigged it with another holder that worked the feliway had no effect. I think someone just replaced with water or something. I had bought in advance to calm my cats after a house move so by the time I opened it to use it was too late to return

Recomendado.

It works!
I've used this product before. It works really well, I just wish it was cheaper so I could buy it more often. We've used this product for any stressful situation for our cats (i.e. new baby, moves, new cat, etc). I always recommend this product to people who are having issues with cats who are easily stressed out. Even with this product, it is not an end all solution. There needs to be other things put in place for a stressful cat (i.e. an area for them to retreat to, lots of clean litter boxes, appropriate litter that the cat likes, open litter boxes, etc.). This is just something that you can add that will further help the situation to get your cat back on track. It does help cats get along, I've noticed significant improvements when this was introduced when we brought in a new cat. Also, this arrived much earlier than expected.
