JAPANESE WORD SEARCH FOR KIDS: Learning Hiragana & Katakana with Fun 100 Word Search Puzzles

I've needed to practice my reading skills, especially katakana and this was a great fun way to do that. My kid took a liking to it and has completed several of the searches with little experience of the alphabet (they just started their Japanese journey). So it's been awesome for us. Wish there were more so we could continue our journey with these. Would absolutely suggest this for anyone who is rusty or a beginner.

The book provides a chart showing the Japanese alphabets, their letters and respective pronunciations. The word searches are categorized well, with each letter getting its own word list for search and find! It’s simple and straightforward.

I have always had an awful time remembering my hirigana. I bought this to try to help reinforce it for myself. First I translate each word into romaji for myself, then I try to find them. So far so good, seems like a fun and helpful too.

I just started learning Japanese two weeks ago, and I love word searches. I know this is for kids, but it's been really helpful practicing Hiragana/Katakana alphabet and learning easy words. Also comes with a free e-book story once you know enough Japanese grammar/words. I highly recommend this for those who want to learn and need some type of interactive game to help learn.

Great! I’m using it to help me memorize hiragana and katakana. I give it 4 stars because there is an error one of words, specifically for the number seventeen on page 101. They have it written as じゅうひち and it’s actually supposed to be じゅうしち or じゅうなな. The should do a serious review to make sure it’s all correct.

I didn't really see the pictures of the puzzles (my fault) but these are for very young kids. I assumed there would be 15-20 words per puzzle, but there are only 6. Great practice for anyone that still has trouble recognizing characters, just wish there was more.

I really like this word search. It's a great companion book for those learning Hiragana and Katakana. At first each puzzle is themed by words that start with a character from the "alphabet" and once you've gone through them it gets into other themes like, seasons, planets, countries, etc. It's a great way to reinforce the characters you learn.

Got this as a gift for a friend learning Japanese. He loved the gift and it is was such a novel idea doing word search in Japanese!
