Bom Tempo

I remember Sergio Mendes' music from my childhood. My parents and older siblings were all into the Brazilian pop jazz wave of the mid- to late-sixties and I pretty much grew up humming "Moro n'um pais tropical!" without really knowing what I was singing.Although Sergio Mendes was always a backdrop to my life, it wasn't until a few weeks back that a friend recommended Bon Tempo. I was a little hesitant to buy a CD rehashing what I felt were oldies, but I'm very glad I listened to her. This is a jazzier, cooler, smoother, updated compilation of his classics, including touches of urban and R&B. It's a great soundtrack for dinner parties, get-togethers, driving around, and any other aspect of your life that needs some cool Brazilian pop jazz/samba to remember it by. Enjoy!

Sergio Mendes is the king of bossa and fuses great genres of music including some of his old tunes and current tunes into this neat album. I don't like the You and I song, but my favorite is EMorio and Voce Tinha. If you like cool and funky Brazilian jazz, soul and pop sounds from the 60s, 80s, 90s then you'll love this from the master that is Sergio Mendes.

Sergio blends his style with other artists' but doesn't lose those rhythms that move me.The CD was in prime condition, as was the jacket.I received the shipment in very reasonable period of time.I would recommend the CD, the source and Amazon - they all rock!

Nice but not traditional Sergio Mendes style music. Music tracks are kind of wild and all over the place with the instruments.

The sound of this CD is high quality and flawless, resistant and dvd are very good and sharp image. Recommend its purchase.I love this music, please send me to this advertising.

そのとおり、フツーのアルバム。冴えたものかどうかというと、ちょっとどうかという感じではありますが、ちらほらおもしろいいじりかたがしてあって、作りも丁寧。名盤じゃないけれど、、、駄作ということもない。

セルシオ健在！まだまだ若い奴らには負けん、と言わんばかりの「夏男」ぶりが素敵すぎ！です

ともかくオススメ。安心して聴けるブラジリアン・ミュージックです。セルジオ・メンデス、みずからの70年代からのヒット曲をセルフプロデュースということですが、耳に馴染みのある曲ばかりでありながら、どんなにシンプルな構造のダンス音楽であろうと、いま聴いても曲としてまったく古びてないってのが凄い。このアルバムは、そのまんますべてフロア・ダンスで使用できるようにと意識したのか、音作りやリズムそのものはあんまり尖がっていません。ほどよく万人向け。明るくて無条件に楽しい。悪く言えば無難。でも、ファンクやディスコやヒップホップやラップの要素を絶妙の加減で混ぜ込んであって、これならいまどきのリスナーが聴いても、きっちり楽しませてもらえるのではないかと。プロというか、まさしく大御所の貫禄ですね。
