Loose connection can prevent charging
I use an electric razor and need to charge it when away from home. The plug on my razor's cable is quite lengthy and on testing the new adaptor I found it doesn't hold the plug in place sufficiently to guarantee effective contact and charging: the plug sags downwards just sufficiently to break the contact. The problem is solved by using an extension cable and setting the two up vertically - see photographs. It's now given the razor a full charge but I hope it lasts - the springs in the adaptor's sockets a) make it hard to insert the plug and b) don't hold it in place reliably unless located on a flat surface.
