Id got some nasty nicks in some decent chisels and really they needed grinding out.Gluton for punishment i decided to buy this and hand refinish.I bought starett as its a brand i recognised for hole saws.Its cheap, i believe its made in china, it is wearing given the starret embossed on one face has dissapeared with two chisels use.I think it will take some wearing out overall but flatness may be an issue depending on chisel size and wear. Prob require dressing at some point.Its cheap and cheerful and did the job so i gave it 4 stars.Its the relatively coarse grit (120) i was interested in.

Brought it for repairing a chipped blade cleaver. I had never used a sharpening stone in my life, let alone repairing a cleaver. Watched a few online videos and got my hands on. It took quite a while even with the coarse side of the stone to shave off blade to flush along where it had chipped; I believed it’s not about performance of the stone but the blade chipped a bit deep. Finished off the work with the fine side of the stone and I am so happy that the cleaver appears sharper than it was brand new. I made one mistake though, I should have used the stone wet not dry. Very happy with the purchase, and judging by the price, I couldn’t ask for more value in this.

Bra slipsten/bryne men...Bra kvalité på materialet. Slipar mycket bra knivar och andra skärverktyg. Grovlekarna är bra för alla normal-jobb även om man kanske vill han finare korn till "slut-finishen" ibland.Negativt är att dom inte är 100% raka i ytorna. Jag har köpt fyra stycken och alla var mer eller mindre kurviga i ytorna. Inet alls mycket men tillräckligt för att irritera sig på. Trickset med att omväxlande slipa ter olika mot varandra för att få perfekta ytor fungerar men tar tid och är ganska jobbigt.Men priset & kvalité på materialet är bra så det blir fyra stjärnor ändå.

Ich benutze die "feine" vom Stein um Macken rauszuschleifen und ich schleife dann an einem 1000/6000er Stein fertig. Die grobe Seite mit dem Schriftzug eignet sich perfekt um einen anderen Stein wieder gerade zu schleifen. Für den Preis Spitze.
