A far cheaper alternative than a skip.........
I bought these 1-ton bulk bags to finally tackle all the garden rubbish, builder’s rubble, and general garage clear out, and they’ve been very handy indeed. The bags feel tough and well-stitched, with sturdy handles that let me haul them without worrying they’ll split mid-air. Filling and lifting them was far less fiddly than I expected, and they stood upright enough to let me shovel in soil and branches without collapsing. In use, each bag handled a surprising amount without giving way. I lined up five of them along the driveway, filled nicely with hedge trimmings and stones, and haven’t had any sagging or tearing, even after being dragged across the gravel, although they did scuff somewhat, they never ripped. The flat bottoms and open tops made loading simple, and being able to tie them up securely meant no unexpected spills. They’re not the sort of thing you lug around daily, but when there’s a big clear-out to tackle, they make the job feel manageable and more reliable than the cheap green make-do sacks, and less awkward than piling it all in wheelbarrows. Folding down for storage was quick too, which makes it easy to stash several away until next time without them hogging space in the shed. Overall, these bulk bags are a strong choice if you’ve got garden waste, building rubble, or anything else needing a big, solid container. Obviously, they need to be lifted, and unless you have a HIAB.... don't overfill them! Much cheaper alternative than a skip hire, even if the bags are not recoverable after loading and disposing.
