Mrs. Anderson’s Baking Wooden Bakers Rolling Pin, 20-Inch x 2-Inch

Nice pin...unfinished and flawless surface, working internal ball bearings; Embossed made in Maine, USA. The roller moves a bit left to right.Handles, oddly, are lacquered with a raised seam or uneven finish...not sure if there is a paper covering handles or heavy uneven lacquer...would have preferred unfinished handle...as I can't imagine this laquer lasting and it might chip/peel into my baked goods.These issues are a little distracting in working the dough. It also arrived a little dirty/shelf worn with just a small paper wrap.Might keep, not sure yet, the feel isn't quite there due to the seems and lacquer on the handles.

We use this every day at our Bakery and after having it for a few months the bearings have started to make noise and give resistance. If they made one with sealed bearings it would be great but as of yet this is the best available. I would buy this again!

I am very happy with my choice. I bought 2 x 20" long Ms. Anderson rolling pin. It's just straight with no curves. This is the first time I have a rolling pin without handles and I must say this totally makes sense because this increases the length of 'rolling area' of the pin. Dough of any size comes out even, whether these are small roties or big pies. It's surface is perfectly smooth. On the package it says to season it with a mineral oil, I used olive oil instead and it worked really well. Made in the USA, this is the best rolling pin I've ever had so far.P.S. By the way, the seller should correct the posted measurements a bit. In the top title it says the right size "Mrs. Anderson's Baking Wooden Bakers Rolling Pin, 20 by 2-Inch" but on the below boxes where you actually choose the size for the same pin shows "12 x 2.75inch", which is probably misprint.

I can't say enough good things about this rolling pin. When I began to look I thought I wanted a rolling pin with handles. But after reading the pros and cons for both I decided to take a chance and order this pin. It is heavy enough that you can roll your dough out easily but light enough that you can maneuver it easily as well. Nice quality, economical and easy to clean.

Sturdy and built to last!! I can tell it will give my years of service!!They also give you a warm fuzzy feeling from supporting American workers, and farmers. They are taxpaying Americans just like us and we helped put food on their table and support a local economy!

Received the wrong type but its fine, works for the same purpose

Perfect size, good weight. And it makes a great mallet, for pounding butter, tenderizing or flattening a chicken breast. Another good multi use kitchen item. But, it is big, not fitting in a normal kitchen drawer. Mine has to fit on an angle.
