Brightens up my garden. My birds now like it... tentative initially!
UPDATED REVIEW:I've given the birdfeeder 5* now.My other 2 seed feeders emptied & I didn't refill them, which 'encouraged' the birds to investigate this red feeder! And they did. A bit tentative at first but today it was empty along with my other 2! So now I would recommend it & so would my garden diners! I will be buying the yellow version too.INITIAL REVIEW:I've given this item 3 stars based on how the birds in my garden like it. After all it is for them to use.I've other seed feeders in my garden - the clear ones with either metal or green plastic lid & feed stations. I wanted to get away from using plastic, so thought metal was more eco-friendly. But my birds prefer plastic! I have yet to refill this red feeder. There are still plenty of seeds in it, maybe 90% full. It just isn't attracting the birds to it. I personally think it's because of the colour. Red in nature is supposed to be a warning, isn't it? The birds in my garden prefer the old, battered, plastic, stuck-together-with-sellotape one that I've had for a few years. As for me I'd give it 5 stars. It is attractive to me, it brightens up my garden, it is solidly made, easy to fill & clean. It holds about twice as much as my other feeders so, if the birds did feed from it, the theory is I'd spend less time filling it up.If I could get the same feeder in a not so bright colour (neutral, green or brown, wood effect, leaf effect, camouflage etc) I would buy again. I was going to get the smaller yellow one but I'll reconsider that option now.

Could be a winner if redesigned.
Absolute disaster. Does anybody check the feeders before making them. This one lasted one day. What is the point of having the metal tube and top and everything else in flimsy plastic? Also it arrived very dirty and packed into a huge box with lots of paper. Had to be washed and scrubbed ibefore using. The heavy metal top is supported by two tiny plastic parts one of which arrived broken and cannot be neither replaced nor repaired. The one star is for the colour - very pretty. Once redesigned by replacing all plastic parts with steel, it could be a very good feeder.

Huge capacity - no match for squirrels.
There is plenty of capacity to ensure your visiting friends (feathered) are well catered for. The squirrels will also help themselves but this is well made & worth purchasing. Frankly unless a feeder is floating mid air it's unlikely that a squirrel would try!Edited to add photograph - to show the work of the handy squirrel- the undamaged pegs popped back in without difficulty. All is well.

Birds Hate It
Beautiful looking object which is a lovely design statement hanging from one of my old apple trees. If the review ended there it would get five stars., however, whether it is the colour or the perches I don't know but the birds hated it. Even taking down all the other feeders could not encourage them to use it. Not one. Have now bought another product which is being used and consigned this to the bin. Would give 0 stars if could as it is simply not fit for purpose.

Goldfinch Feeding Station
If you only have house sparrows, inject a little colour into you garden birding. You never know, you might just get as lucky as us to have Goldfinches and Goldcrests within a couple of weeks.Pleasing on the eye and they interest the children into topping them up to then watch from the window.
