Great message!
My second grader came home with this book from the library and I immediately ordered it for my classroom. I love the message and think it’s applicable to so many aspects of life. I’m an adapted art teacher and love the message that we can all start with the same materials and end with something different if we let our imagination take control!

Love, love, love this book!
Within a 24-hour time span of owning this book, my almost two-year-old son wanted to read this book SIX TIMES! He was even asking for it by title! As a child reader, he seemed captivated by the colorful illustrations and the lovely use of bold beautiful blocks of color. As a parent reader, the themes of (literally) thinking outside of the box and creating for the sake of creating, above and beyond what any assignment calls for is a crucial lesson for children to learn as young as possible. This is one of many Reynolds books we own because the themes and morals the books present with colorful, joyful pictures are so special and vital to little ones growing up today. We are thrilled to have Going Places as our most addition to our bookshelf; it has become a fast favorite!

2 1/2 yr old ADORES
After renewing from the library for the maximum number of times, we decided to get this beloved book for our two and a half year old daughter. She requested it every single night for 9 weeks! She loves the story so much that she tries to read along these days... And now that we have our own copy she is ecstatic! The story offers so much- from building imagination to learning about friendship to discovering new ideas and thinking outside of the box. We are so grateful that our daughter latched onto this one!

LOOOVE this book!
It is a wonderful book, as all the books from Peter Reynolds. The partnership with his twin brother resulted in a great book! The children from my school loved it! Some of them developed interesting ideas after they listened to the story and they enjoyed the illustrations as well. I highly recommend it. Congratulations to the Reynold Brothers!

Another Peter Reynolds book for us to LOVE!
We own all of Peter Reynolds books and this one didn't disappoint me, either.I bought this for several young friends who were graduating from high school. I found this a nice alternative to "Oh the Place You will Go."I also used this for a planned graduation gift for my son. I've given each of the special teachers from 1st grade through 8th grade their own page for them to write messages to him. (we have a different book that his high school teachers will be signing). This book had the perfect theme for this project.I always love Peter's illustrations. While his messages are so powerful, the illustrations are half the fun.

Fun book
A nice little book to open you imagination and think outside the box. Friends names are multicultural which is nice, too! It's a good little read. Holds my kid's attention, but not overly excited to grab it off the shelf.
