PetSafe Extra Stubborn Dog Collar Receiver

This is absolutely the best collars especially if you have smaller dogs that like to chew on things. These collars are durable.

Zero complaints. Unfortunately, I’ve spent way to much to find a collar that would meet my expectations. I have 2 stubborn German Shepard’s and it was just a matter of time before they would get hit. I had to watch their every move. They are my fur babies. This collar does everything it is advertised to do and even beyond my expectations. Thanks!!

This collar integrated seemlessly with our stubborn dog fence. Our old collar had the plastic holding the neck spike break after around 4 years or so of ownership so we had to get a new one. The collar itself is a little wider than the original but overall works just as perfectly as the first one. I do think people are confusing the description of the collar itself. Some have complained that it's not an "Extra" stubborn dog collar. I needed this to be an extra stubborn dog collar as in "another" collar whereas I think some people thought it would be "extra" as in stronger for a particularly stubborn dog. These things work and are strong enough to curb my dogs that would run through our fence with the standard shock collar so they are perfect for us.

Maybe I haven't read all the instructions fully, but I don't like the fact that I am never sure if the battery is charged or not. The only way I can do that is take the collar off the dog and then hit the tone button. The tone is very unpleasant for the dogs, and for that reason it is very very effective. I have never had to use vibrate or shock to get my dogs to comply.

I have a Siberian Husky and he tends to dig out of the yard when we are not home. We bought the invisible fence and this collar. We attached the invisible fence to the actual fencing and have it set so that when Koda gets within 2 feet of the fence he gets the warning beep and if he gets closer he will get a shock. We live on a main road and people speed past my home. This is a small price to pay for the safety of our dog. I highly recommend this product.

Dog was across the boundary this morning, went out to change battery, and saw that the case that holds the battery was no longer there!

This is a replacement collar for one that was lost. (I'm fairly sure our dog worked out a way to pull it off and then buried it:-)) We live on two acres and the Petsafe in-ground fence has allowed our pets to enjoy our two acres without the expense I would otherwise have building a fence around our property. This replacement receiver works perfectly with our transmitter. These are very well made. The original has been used for 5 years with no problems. Our pet loves to get in our pool so I know that it does a great job remaining waterproof over the course of time.

Although expensive, this really worked on my dog who had previously run through a different collar. It seems to be consistently giving her a good warning before a shock, so she has a chance to turn back and leave the area near the fence line. She tested the old collars, but this one she has not messed with since I got it a month ago. Well worth the investment for my peace of mind.
