Cashmere: Book 2 of the Velvet Trilogy

I finished the first book in the series, Velvet, a while ago. I loved it so much, the snarky witty banter, the fashion, the nerdyness and all the cute so you can imagine that the wait for Cashmere was almost unbearable. I was on all social media sites on the look out for this book and then Temple finally announced the second book in the series and here we are 2017 and it's finally released.I was so excited for this and of course made the purchase as soon as I was able but then I put off reading it. It took so long for Cashmere to come out and because of my social media spoiler habits (I really have to put a stop to looking up my favorite book series on the internet) I knew that Cashmere was going to end on a cliffhanger. The question I said to you really want to read it, knowing you are going to love it and then have to wait for the third book. So I put off reading it for as long as I could but couldn't take it anymore I need more nerdy-cuteness.So you know when you have such high hopes for a sequel and then it didn't meet your expectations? Well Cashmere passed all my expectations, I loved it so hard. Temple did such a great job with the plot which I admit I did not know where I was going on that crazy ride and then the ending, that killed me. The characters stayed true to themselves but grew more and the relationship between Adrian and Caitlin grew as well. Caitlin and Adrian are more of a couple and the nerdyness is all over the page with Star Wars, Star Trek and Harry Potter references just to name a few. Caitlin and Adrian are more comfortable with each other and more protective of each other as well.However all is not well, Lucien is still missing, Marina is acting more shady than normal, Trish is starting to ask some serious questions and with new vampires showing up we just don't know who to trust. Not to mention that there is a mystery on the horizon and some shocking truths will be revealed and lets not forget that the De la Mara's father "Tommie" is still around reeking all kinds of havoc and plotting something that no one can even begin to guess at what it is.Temple has built an amazing world in Velvet and is continuing on with Cashmere. I truly enjoyed this book with all of its fashion, romance, action, mystery, surprises and danger. With the truth now revealed and only part of the puzzle is shown I can't wait to get my hands on the next book. I must have my questions answered and I have to see where this is going to go and who will survive. Temple I cannot wait years for the next book, it might cause serious damage to my emotions.

Loved the first book so I quickly went right into reading the second. Yes, it is good and I did read it in one day but a few scenes were a bit off from the normal writing flow. Plus I wouldn't read this until the author gives some info on when the next book is coming out because you will be left with a hole you will have to try and fill. No updates from the author and the third book was supposed to be released in 2020.....Please end this suffering and come out with the third book or give everyone an idea when it might be released.

I thought the first book in trilogy, Velvet, was an addicting read! It had all the perfect elements to make an avid reader such as myself completely and utterly absorbed in its world. Then I read Cashmere and I was addicted and immersed into the story within the first couple of pages. I tried so hard to space out the story and not read it all right away, didn’t happen. I just didn’t want to have to wait for the final book to be available, I’m already having separation issues from the characters; feeling as though my own life has been hold. I am a little upset that Temple West (albeit an absolute amazing author) hasn’t updated her webpage and can not find any updates about when the final book will actually be released! The last update was sometime I’m guessing pre-covid, which I guess is somewhat understandable - although being trapped at home would be perfect for getting lots of writing done, and stated that the third book should be released sometime in 2020. Here we are in first month of 2022 and no word as to when we get to enter back into Caitlin and Adrian’s world.

I love love love this book! I loved “Velvet” the first book and I was so hooked I HAD to buy the sequel “Cashmere” to find out what was happening between the main 17 yo girl Caitlin who was new to Stony Creek and the 18 yo Vampire, Adrian who was assigned to protect her... I knew they would fall in love! It’s a great vampire, supernatural love story. I can’t wait for the 3rd and final book of the series... The only disappointment, yet it’s old-fashioned which good vampires seem to be is the fact that Caitlin and Adrian have laid in bed together, as he was protecting her and keeping her from dangerous nightmares, but I still wanted them to make love to each other, and finding out neither had ever done that before made it that more Romantic. Great writing, I do hope in the 3rd. Book however that the two of them will be able to be together once she’s 18 since they have expressed how in love they are to one another. Lots of twists and turns that I don’t want to give away, so if you Love Vampire Romance as much as I do, you have to read : VELVET , then CASHMERE and once the 3rd and final book comes out.... Do yourselves a huge favor and read it , I know I will be!,, I love the writer and am following her always.

When is the next book coming out and when can I pre order!! Loved this book absolutely hate the cliffhanger...just left wanting more!!

This trilogy is absolutely amazing. Temple West has such a way of writing and relating to her audience through the characters. It just pulls you in and leaves you wanting more. There aren't enough words other then, please bring out the third book!

Waiting for the third book is gonna be rough. This trilogy is so engaging! It may be Twilightesque but is so much better! The characters are more engaging and Caitlin is so much more lively than Bella ever was.

I found the segment where Adrian and Caitlyn were totally alone and debating having sex silly and not at all what I think the author maybe intended. I think it was suppose to add to the suspense and keep you reading, but it really was just silly and not at all what I'd expect of these two characters. After all, Caitlyn was heated up and ready to have sex with this Tommie character, but not with Adrian, the guy she loves? Come on now!! Other than that, it was a great read, lots of excitement, twists and turns.

Absolutely love this book by Temple West.....I enjoyed Velvet (once you get past the little Twilight similarities) but Cashmere I really loved and has left me needing more. A definite must for vampyre fans and a whole new concept to boot. The author is absolutely lovely too and is a wizz at wonderful costume make up. Just read it.... :D
