World of Nintendo Lakitu with Spike Ball Action Figure, 4"

World 4, Stage 1, the very first Super Mario Bros game, you walk out, jump over a pipe containing a Piranha Plant, and then out of the sky, Lakitu comes down and starts to throw Spiney Eggs down, which hatch into Spineys and thus, the reoccurring character makes his debut. Since that time, Lakitu has served either as a member of Bowser's army, or as a referee and racing official. But, he's always been that funny looking turtle person with glasses riding a cloud that is nearly impossible to take down.Jakks Pacific does a great job of recreating Lakitu in his most classic role, trying to kill Mario by hurling Spiny Eggs on his head. As far as the articulation goes, Lakitu can move his head and his arms and hands, but has no elbow joints. He is built into the cloud, which makes sense as he is never seen NOT riding the cloud. I have had some difficulty getting him to hold the Spiney Egg and the cloud does not stand well. There is a small, clear stand that can be inserted seamlessly into the base of the cloud, but the stand's base could be wider I think. All in all, a great figure and the perfect addition to any Mario collection.

Fun figure to add to your Mario collection. Figure's final product is somewhat different than the figure show in photo. The bicep articulation is now gone, but honestly it wouldn't have made any difference if it had stayed through production. The roled up Spiny accessory fits nicely once you find the sweet spot. Lakitu's riding cloud is a simple, but fun design, and comes with a somewhat hidden base to help stand the figure. Don't hesitate getting the figure if you find one (or two) "in the Wild". If you're shopping online for one try not to spend more than $20 total. If you're like me, and already have the WON Bowser figure plus other minions from the series, you're going to love this new addtion to your collection.

I needed a collectors item. Package is damaged

It has less articulation than the picture shows. (Only neck, shoulders and wrists) it's totally hollow, thus easily broken. Also the egg is supposed to be red, not orange. The visible seam on the cloud looks really bad too.
