A (not so) perfect espresso maker
The media could not be loaded. Edit —1 yr 6 months later—After approx one year, there were problems that started surfacing. Scaling is natural, so not making that a point. Tried descalers, vinegar, et al. But every week that was an issue. The main issues were:- water leakage (no idea how) there’d be small puddles at the bottom of the machine- then the cap got some issue due to which, most steam would escape from that.- Finally, yesterday, the on/off switch on the body just broke and fell. Death knell.Support: after many emails, support did respond. The technician visited, said its scaling. The promised cap never arrived, 6 months and still waiting. Tomorrow, a coffee maker will be included in the morning trash.Well, money down the drain. You’d expect an espresso maker to last at least a few years. This didn’t. So, buy at your own risk, folks.—First review—-If you are looking for an espresso maker that is not in the super expensive range (10+k) but not a cheap make either, then this is a good bet. I had tried the cheaper options available also, but there is usually a gnawing worry about the life of those products because of the rather inferior build quality. This is a very newly released machine. No previous reviews. But was a good decision to buy. Slightly long review, so please bear with me.Pro's:- Excellent build quality: machine and accessories (porta filter, carafe, measuring spoon and steamer).- Right sized machine, not too big nor heavy.- Very easy to operate. Clear instructions with possible issues mentioned on the manual.- Precise measurements marked on each of the components - so no need for guesswork.- Easy to clean. Removable components.- A warming plate (the metal flat part atop the filter) which keeps your carafe or cups warm - a rather nice touch in terms of utilizing the heat dissipated during the process.- Steamer does its job well.Cons:None so far. Will update this review if I find any.Lessons from usage and some tips:- The coffee ground: the type of ground beans depends on your taste (robusta or arabica or a 70-30 combination), but make sure the ground (if grinding at home) is fine - not super fine, nor granular. That will produce a beautiful and rich decoction. It will take a bit longer to collect in the carafe (longer than the video I added), but it really is worth the wait.- Tapping the powder: If your coffee beans are ground properly, then tapping (pressing) the ground in the filter quite a bit (hard) actually ensures that the steam/water pressure is spread evenly and seeps slowly to produce a rich, creamy textured espresso, that doesn't taste burnt. Hard pressure works well for me - but I’d rather you experiment a bit to find the right combination for your taste. The other side of the spoon provided won’t work if the amount of ground you take is less than ‘-2’ mark. You can use a clean pestle (flat) to do this. Don’t hammer - just dab making sure its even and flat inside the filter. Else there will be uneven extraction.- I was worried about cleaning the water container (inside the machine) - but for one, you can remove the excess water/moisture via the steamer, and also, after you are done, keep the lid of the water inlet open for sometime - the heat inside ensures that the residual water evaporates. Of course, theres always the option to invert the machine and take out any excess remaining water from the inlet.- After every use of the steamer (assuming you are frothing milk or so), rub down on the outside with a moist cloth. Releasing steam self-cleans it from the inside.Overall, I am quite happy with the result. With more tweaks over time, one can hopefully reach close to one’s perfect coffee! Cheers!

Product failed in less than a month
This product is very bad. Don't buy it. Failed in less than a month. Try to call Wonder Chef for repair and WhatsApp is turned off, email does not reply and main number is bogus. On the box it says 2 year warranty but now they claim there is no warranty.Fraud in my opinion

Make perfect espresso and easy to use
This machine and its quality are very good. It is very easy to use and produces a delicious cup of espresso every time it also easy to clean. The 5-bar pressure ensures that the espresso is extracted quickly and efficiently. The metal porta filter and heat-resistant carafe make sure that the espresso stays hot and flavorful. The steam tube for frothing cappuccinos and latte is also a great feature and i love that I can make my own cappuccinos, coffee and lattes right at home. The design and the size of the machine is also very attractive and modern.

Reliable Entry Level Espresso Machine
I have been using this coffee maker for the last 1.5 years. It is reliable, does what it says. I use it to make espresso multiple times everyday. I cannot comment on the steam wand as I never use it. But all in all, good coffee maker in a budget.

Worst product! Don't buy
UPDATEDon't buy this product at all. In less than a year, the switch has broken thrice. The customer service is horrible. They take months to send a technician. The worst part is that the switch breaks on its own. Last we were out on holiday, we came back and the switch was out. This is the worst appliance I have owned. Please don't waste your money on itAlthough the product received is good, the switch has broken twice in the last 4 months. Exercise caution before purchasing

Good coffee for fair price
I am from Germany and used to Italian quality coffee. What surprised me in a positive way was the milk foamer. The espresso is okay, but not outstanding. But for this price very good. Can recommend this machine.
