KUFUNG Bluetooth OBD Check Tool Car Diagnostic Fault Code Scanner OBDII Engine Codes Reader (Bluetooth 4.0)

I initially gave this product 4 stars with a leaning toward 5.HOWEVER, As soon as I tried to use the logging functions, BIG TROUBLE!Suddenly my engine began to run roughly. The check engine light came onand a scan indicated an open number 4 injector. I was suspicious since theproblem exactly coincided with my use of the logging function of the OBDscanner. Upon clearing the suspect code and removing the scanner, theengine returned to normal operation. Now if my car sits for more than twodays, the injector failure occurs again. Multiple resets will bring the engineback to operational condition. I am keeping the unit just so I can reset theissue that it has caused. Others have reported similar issues. I tried tocontact the seller but received no response back. Seems likeMALWARE FOR YOUR CAR! RUN FAST! RUN VERY FAST! DO NOTBUY THIS! It is more than a ripoff. It is a trouble causer.

This dongle works as expected -- was able to connect using the OBD Auto Doctor software on my iPhone. Which is great, because Bluetooth is so much more convenient than WiFi.Unfortunately, as of October 2017, there are hardly any apps that support Bluetooth OBDII on IOS. The best apps, like DashCommand, don't work with it yet, though I hope that will change.The OBD Auto Doctor app, which is the only compatible IOS app, works fine and will read codes for free. But if you want to clear them, you'll need to buy the Pro version for $17.99, expensive for an app that gets pretty middling reviews and is fairly mediocre.Before buying this product for use with an iPhone, check the current state of compatible apps. If DashCommand has added support, I think it's totally worth it. But if you want to clear codes and the only compatible app is still OBD Auto Doctor, realize that you'll need to pony up an additional $18 for a pretty unimpressive app.

My old honda civic’s Malfunction Indicator lamp came on recently, so bought one to see if I could fix it. Download the app, plug in the scanner and then select the model of the vehicle. When selecting the model, I don’t see my model, but fortunately it’s able to add a customized one (later I try a similar built-in model, and it works as well). After diagnosing, error code P1298 is found. And then I do some research, and get it fixed easily! Moreover, I find something cool that it can read real time data such as speed, engine rotational speed and temperature, battery voltage, etc. After getting real time data, it will create a route analysis report and then show you how your car performed. I guess the route analysis can be a reference before buying a used car, too. It helps me solved the problem so that five stars.

Device worked after reading reviews and getting necessary tips and info from the responses... User guide indicates the "Kiwi 3" is the correct Device type to use.. in my case it didn't work... In looking through the reviews I noticed that "Viecar " was called out as the correct device type to select (I had already tried a couple of others...). This selection worked and the app connected right away (when I followed the correct steps noted in the response)... The instructions provided are not well written and should do a better job of explaining that you can't connect the device though your Bluetooth Settings and that you can only perform the connection through the link on the app and better define the actual steps required. As is typical for these kind of devices the instructions are written by someone who has very limited English skills and some of the basic steps or requirements for this device to work are skipped over...The real reason for two stars is that I cannot actually reset any codes with the free app as I am held hostage for the "premium upgrade" to actually be able to actually reset the codes.. They indicate that this devices does this with the free app... apparently not true... I will be returning this device as the description on Amazon is incorrect...

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  My wife got the one monitoring device for me. I was intrigued by the description on amazon and I was not disappointed when I got it. I downloaded the app, synchronized with Bluetooth, and suddenly I was finding stuff out about my car that only my mechanic would know. Thankfully I have nothing wrong with my car, but if I did, the app would provide me with a good assessment. Everything is in realtime, which is great to see. A great digital device for the car. Just to be sure to follow the installment instructions to the letter to get into it hassle-free and it will run smoothly.

So this interface works like it's supposed to, but the lack of included software and the quality of the software that it's compatible with on iOS is making me drop a star.Does NOT work with DashCommand on iOS, which is disappointing. (Apparently DashCommand only supports WiFi interfaces, and DC would have to add a Bluetooth LE interface to make this interface work.)

size is just right. received it within 3 days. No damage, product packed very well. I am happy I got it so quick, just right after my maint REQD light turn on. The instruction is easy and clear. I checked my car, it's time to do a oil change.

Love this. I had been driving around with my laptop for the longest time after I would tune the car, in case I got error codes. It started to become a hassle.. Now this is plugged in at all times and all I have to do is open the app!
