A lifesaver for the heat intolerant
This product was pricey but I won't remove a star for that because it does such a good job at what it promises to do - it keeps you cool when the heat and humidity are high. I have a primary immune disorder with a bunch of accompanying autoimmune disorders including disautonomia. The Alabama summer heat and humidity have made it impossible for me to work in the yard for the last few years. This year, with a combination of the Black Ice cooler and a glass of "The Banana Bag Drink," I have been able to keep up a small vegetable garden and take care of lawn chores. Indoors, when I have a spell of shaking and sweating while I'm trying to do housework, I put on the Black Ice cooler and am able to keep going. The Black Ice really helps indoors and out. The collar may seem to be too cold on your skin the first time you try it, but by the third time you put it on, your body is so prepped for the relief, you don't feel any discomfort. On the contrary, it feels wonderful. I highly recommend this product to those who work in high heat with high humidity and to folks who are heat intolerant.

Priced to high
This product does keep you cool by the blood flow in your neck but it is not worth the $90 somewhat dollars I spent on it. Maybe $40 but that is just my opinion

Cooler leaks.
I bought this a few months ago but only used it for the first time this weekend. The strap barely fits around my neck but I thought I could still make that work. The problem was the cooler leaks. Food thing is was in the back but it did get some things wet. Would like to return or replace but it looks like I waited too long.

Not perfect for South Florida weather.
The Black Ice Personal Cooling is very good, however it did not stay cold as long as I would have liked. I live in South Florida and purchased to help me stay more comfortable while riding my horse. I guess nothing really helps you stay really cool down here, but it did help and I didn't feel as if I were going to faint. I'll try during other activities, I'm sure that it will perform much better. Over all a good purchase.

SUPER COOL, SUPER VALUE, SUPER AWESOME
*I have not been compensated to provide this honest review. I have been an admire and customer of this company since 2006. Lost the first set in divorce after owning 14 years without a single product complaint. If only BLACK ICE COOLING made wives :-p lol*I gave it a 1 star for warmth because Amazon should correct that lol. I would feel I'd be doing this product a great disservice by giving it 5 stars for "warmth", even though I'm sure it means "COOL".There should be NO confusion that this product is an incredible value and great way to stay cool, EVEN IN HUMID WEATHER. Just small cooler with ice water, and rotating out the "two band" set, I managed to walk around Thailand COMFORTABLY during their summertime and humidity over 80 to 90.I will always keep BLACK ICE COOLING in the freezer ready to go when I need it.

Great Product!
I am quadriplegic and a as unlikeliest it may seem I am a gymnastics coach. The dog days of summer really can take a great toll on me. I was searching for something to help get me more gym time and this product has helped. The cold truly is not unbearably intense and my neck is extremely sensitive. I only wish that I could apply this to my head also in some fashion. The size is actually just a tad small for my neck, but I can live with it. Having backup cold packs is highly recommended. It is a bit pricey and adding the cooler however, it was the way that I could buy it on Amazon and have it shipped with prime to guarantee getting it when I needed to have it for special clinic.

Issues with the frozen gel pack with skin contact
It seems the product is over price for the simple cooling systemThe storage bag was sturdy and could have caused the high price of the merchandiseThe frozen gel pack cannot be place directly onto your neck skin, and it requires to place a piece of cloth on top of the gel pack before totally wrapping around your neck.

This does not work as advertised....
A frog tog works better with less care or aggravation...this product does not work even as advertised...it is a ripoff
