Bought what seems to be the same mat several months ago, except that one said the seller was the "Andersen" company & this one says "M+A Matting". The packaging on this latest purchase was perfect - cardboard box, slice the tape, pop it open. No plastic or extra paper, just the rolled up mat.I'm using these mats on livingroom carpeting. I like being able to vacuum right over them without the edges catching. I've got a wooden door going out to the patio and the door slides right over the top of the mat without moving it.The second mat is placed at the edge of the carpet into the kitchen because that area of the carpeting always shows wear. It's been there for a week and hasn't been a trip hazard. The mat color and design are very attractive so it doesn't look like a front door mat, it looks like an attractive throw rug.I won't go into detail about the sturdy fabric etc, suffice to say I totally agree with all the other praise I've seen here.I'm considering scraping up the money for a bigger (square) WaterHog mat for the front door where I currently have a mat that works great to catch dirt but is a bugger when it comes to vacuuming! I think the difference is that these WaterHog mats don't have the exposed rubber edge around the sides - that's what always causes a problem when I vacuum my other mat and in fact it has a few splits from its battles with the vacuum cleaner.

I bought two of these mats a few years back to use inside at our front and back door. They are really nice looking too. A few months later we rescued a dog that decided to use them to pee on. She repeatedly pee'ed on them, and even though we could literally hose them down, after a while with her I gave up and threw them away. The dog is now no longer here, so I have re-ordered them again! We've missed them!They are heavy duty and take an astounding beating. Even my cats deciding to use them as a scratching post, and that didn't faze them!The bottom of them are a heavy rubber, and they have small pointy nubs on the bottom (I suppose to keep water from pudding outside) and I was worried they would hurt our new hardwood floors - but not at all. When I removed them because of the dog after they had been down for months, you could not see where they had been; but they sure protect the floor from the stuff trying to come inside, especially during the winter. We live in the Pacific Northwest where our winters are quite wet and lots of pine needles are always trying to make their way inside. A few pine needles were able to stick to the top fiber, but pretty easily removed.All in all, these are absolutely amazing mats. We highly recommend them!

We wanted a lighter, charcoal gray door mat to go with our homes color scheme. Depending upon the light/time of day the mat looks a little more black than gray as shown in my photos. If that's not a problem for you I highly recommend this mat. We were so happy with the look and quality that we're keeping it. It's heavy duty, water absorbing and stays in place. We have a commercial gray, more lengthy entry mat at church that this mat rivals in quality and durability. This mat is an all around great value.

I bought this entrance mat to replace a different brand mat that kept blowing off of my doorway during windy days and when I break out the leaf blower to clear snow from my driveway.So far I've only had it just over a month. With all the snow we've been having so far this year, the mat does not move when I blow over it with the leaf blower. The only thing I'm curious about is how fast it will dry when it gets wet this upcoming spring/summer/fall seasons...

I was really hoping for a true 4' mat, since that's the space I need to cover. I was shorted three inches - my mat measures 45", not 48". I'm disappointed, but will make it work since I don't want to return it. Looks like a nice mat otherwise, but I sure wish I had gotten the other three inches of it.

I have several of these hog mats that I purchased 17 years ago from LL Bean (expensive too) and they still look new like new. I was happy to see these on Amazon. Pricing is good and they are the same mats I ordered years ago. I'm going to use two in the kitchen. Easy to care for. Vacuum and once a year, I take them outside, soap and hose them down.

Bought for the front entryway. My husband goes out to get the paper in the morning and comes back in 7 days a week. Have an occasional visitor on Sunday. I have only had this rug for a few weeks and threads/fibers are working their way loose . Very disappointing, I expected much more from this doormat

Fits a double entry door. Lays flat. Nice color, indigo, bought a rectangle one for inside the entry. Our cat likes to keep his claws in top condition with these and no pieces flake off. Tito the cat also likes to sun himself in the patio on the double door mat.
