The Grandpa Soap co. 5 Bar Variety (Epsom Salt, Oatmeal, Charcoal, Pine Tar and Buttermilk)

Best soap ever! Loved every one of these. Tried to re order the 5 bars I bought and couldn’t though. Wish they would do 5 bars at this price and you could choose the 5 you want in the deal. Haven’t bought anymore since because I haven’t been able to find the same 5 I bought originally. The 5 offered now ( a year later) that I’ve seen since my first purchase have 2 in it I don’t want. Bummer.

Don’t even get me started on this soap. I love the smell of this soap. Seriously every time I shower, I feel as though I’m cleaning myself from the aftermath of battling and killing a bear with my bare hands. It’s as if my whole body is going to magically grow an epic beard and I’d take first place in the beard championship of the universe. It’s like building a log cabin deep in the heart of the Sierras with Jesus and Hugh Jackman. Like getting kicked in the balls by a rhinoceros and then having the rhino apologize and ask your for his balls back. Need I say more?Hands down my favorite soap ever. I’ve bought like 15 bars

My favorite is definitely the charcoal & buttermilk. I use them both for face washing- alternating.The pine tar has an overwhelming scent. Not my fav! To be fair I haven’t tried it yet because of it. Others rave about it though!

Having used the original Pine Tar soap, and deciding to stick with the brand, I decided to try this sampler to see if there was a variety I liked better. Short answer: no.Pine Tar- The original. Good soap, feels good, and smells good. The "campfire" scent is strong, but doesn't linger. I like it, but to someone else it might reek. Smooth texture. I kind of wish it had a fine grainy texture like the charcoal one. But this is still my favorite overall.Epsom Salt- The most neutral of the bunch. Not much of a smell, and only a tiny bit of grainy texture. If I didn't like the smell of the Pine one, this would easily be my number one choice. Also, this was the first other variety I tried, and I wasn't expecting it to be my favorite. If I'd tried it last instead of first, I might have been even more impressed. Instead I just found the others kind of disappointing.Charcoal- Advertised as charcoal but the overwhelmingly dominant smell was mint. Mint oil is mentioned in one small corner of the box, but I wasn't expecting a super minty from the second I opened the box. I'd rather it weren't so minty. The charcoal gives it a very fine grainy texture that felt great.Oatmeal- This might sounds crazy, but it smells like ham. Not a bad smell, mind you, but weird. Not my favorite. There were chunky bits and pieces of something (presumably oatmeal), giving it a good texture for scrubbing.Buttermilk- My least favorite of the bunch. Creamy smell and texture. Not bad, but not great, and it lingered more than the others did. This is the only one that felt like regular non-natural soap. Even once I rinsed it off it felt like it was on me, which is exactly the thing I don't want in soap.

Outstanding product, dont think I'll switch to conventional soaps ever again. Cheap, affordable , and overall just good and wholesome quality product. I multiple showers day now just I'm using this soap I would recommend to anyone.

My daughter noticed a difference in her acne within a day using the Thylox. My husband loves the pine tar soap & he smells great! The epsom salt soap is good too, just can't wait to open the others. I think that Grandpa has life customers!

I’ve always used the Grandpa’s pine tar soap and did not know yet had other varieties. I especially love the charcoal bar for my face. I get the itchy skin so the oatmeal bar is good for that. And these bars are huge! Lather really well. I used toGet the smaller bars at the grocery store for about the same price which makes this set a good deal. Grandpa’s soapHas been around a long long time!

My husband loved the Pine tar so I decided to try the variety pack. They all smell great, but the charcoal REALLY smells wonderful and cleans well!

Ordered this about a month ago (I live in Canada) so I was expecting delays for arrival which is fine. However, once it did arrive I only got one bar, the buttermilk bar, and it came like this. Not impressed at all. I purchased 5 and got 1? I’m sure it’s a good bar of soap, if I got to get the full experience and try each of them. Not impressed at all.
