Disclaimer: I have not yet finished this book, so I can only speak for part of it.First, the physical quality of the (paperback) book is wonderful. The front cover is beautiful, and the texture of the covers is satisfying.Second, the content of the book is VERY in-depth. This book is not a light read, so if you are looking for a simple book to help you better appreciate Holy Mass, I do not recommend it. The content is very heavy, and I am taking plenty of notes. You will definitely need to actively think about the content as you read in order to absorb it.That being said...this book provides a fascinating insight as to the various viewpoints of Reformation and Counter-Reformation thinkers. Bellarmine picks apart the Reformers' arguments very well and meticulously. The content in this book will deepen the understanding of the Mass for even generally well-informed Catholics (such as myself). I have found myself experiencing several "Aha" moments as I read.The greater intellectual understanding that you will have from reading and comprehending this book will most likely help you to appreciate Holy Mass in a much deeper way.
