This worked like a charm between my Panasonic UH BD820 Blue Ray/DVD player and my Geerfab D BOB, helping to unlock the sound quality of my Blue Ray and DVD Concert videos, via HDMI. The sound quality is no longer held back!! This cable is well worth the money. I was considering the Audioquest Carbon or the Vodka HDMI Cable, but couldn't get past the cost/value level. I am not afraid to spend money on good cables, I have Kimber Kable, Audioquest, Nordost, Mapleshade, Audio Envy, Pangea, and others. The Audioquest seem to have a bit of an inflated price at times, and after a few reviews, I decided to get the Austere, a lot of cable for the money. Well worth the $99.

If you are ready to prepare for the release of 8K as the new normal, you will need a cable of this level. I have tried a lot of different HDMI cables from various companies, including Audioquest, and this easily gives you the best value for your money. The quality of the braided cable along with the gold plated connections is next level. I highly recommend this currently for your next gen game consoles!!!

I got a new 8K television and definitely had to get what I feel are the best cables out there. If you are looking to enhance the picture quality of your television and also enhance the data transfer (if you are streaming videos), then you definitely want a cable like this. It has always baffled me how people buy 5 and $10,000 televisions just to hook up a $5 HDMI cable.We stream almost everything and using cheaper HDMI cables we noticed that we would get a lot of buffering. We used to always think it was the Internet, but what we found out, it was not the Internet, it was actually the amount of data that could be transferred in the HDMI cable itself going from our box to our television. Once we got this Austere VII Series 8K HDMI Cable all the buffering has disappeared. We have now had zero buffering and the picture quality is amazing.I wish I could give this a 10 ********* STAR rating, but since I can't, I will give it the highest rating I can of 5***** stars. This is an absolute must have if you have an expensive monitor or television or if you just stream a lot and/or just want really high res pictures. You will not regret spending the extra cash for a quality HDMI cable like this Austere VII Series 8K HDMI Cable.

I've never believed in expensive cables, after the whole $200 Monster Cable BS of the early 2000s, but luckily the Amazon Vine program has allowed me to test and review a similar scenario with this cable from Austere, and at least in this case, the price matches the function. Those Monster Cables just provided better shielding and insulation, and more fancy window dressing than normal cables at the time, but this one actually performs better than its normal cousins, as this one is HDMI 2.1 specifications, instead of the more ubiquitous 2.0 standard. The difference is 8k/60 & 4k/120 for the 2.1 standard, over the 4k/30 2.0 standard. Good 2.1 HDMI cables are $40 and up, so I guess you pay a little more for the brand, which Austere is known for. I also like that the cable material is a braided fabric instead of a generic rubber coating. And it just looks damn nice and premium. So if you already have the money for an LG OLED or a Samsung QNED, then this cable is worth it. And if you can't detect the difference between the refresh rates in games, you can also test it when you connect your laptop or desktop computer to a TV with 2.1 inputs, is so switch the refresh rates in your computer display settings, and then waving your mouse pointer around really quickly. You will definitely notice the differences between 30 fps with 60, and 120.

This came beautifully packaged, and is definitely the nicest HDMI cable I’ve ever owned. We used it to connect our 4K Apple TV to our Samsung TV, it works great. The picture is definitely better than our previous HDMI 2.0 cable allowed.
