Brilliant Read
After the Fall of Cadia I was eager to see where this story went next. After a slow but very insightful beginning journey it ends with an amazing masterpiece of twists, turns and tragedy. The characters introduced in this book are all memorable with their own plot lines and flaws. A must read for any 40k fan.

You want a damned great story? You got it here big time.
Everything was perfect about this story. Every character was life like. The action was fantastic. The pacing was brilliant. One of the best stories I've ever read and even better than the previous book Cadia Stands. Justin D Hill is a genius of a writer and I am eager beyond words to get my hands on more of his work as soon as I can. Read Cadia Stands and then this. You won't be disappointed. You will be elevated.

Okay middle book.
Pretty good writing not as well done as Cadia stands, but pretty good. The story is good but you wont spend as much time with Cadians as you would think a book about them would. This story very much feels like a side quest to a much bigger picture that I hope to see.Hopefully Cadians in a larger engagement then the typical few squads behind enemy lines or on a "special mission" I would also like to point out that Pask was never on Cadia according to This book and Cadia stands he was on his way back as said in the codex.Anyway this one isnt bad but not a re read like the first one and I very much hope the writer will give us a epic set piece for Cadians to really regain honor. Not a couple of squads skirmishing and saving the day...also need more Minka and Bendicket. They are the best part of the book.

Very good
Worth it's money, would make a good film.Cool asthetic, grim dark, death, despair, all the typical Warhammer troupes.Have I got the word count yet, my God.
