Really sturdy Gives my 85 pound dog enough room to go fast but has quick retrievability.

Although very strong, when walking a 50 pound dog, the leash constantly gets stuck and will not retract. The hole that it retracts into has a hump in the middle if the leash is not directly on top of the hump.(Dog to the left or right of you) it gets stuck beside the hump and will not retract. my dog gets tangled up in the leash that is just on the ground or loose around its body. yesterday on a three-quarter mile walk I had to stop untwist and straighten the leash 11 . The leash is just too flimsy to stay in place I would not recommend this product. It is a constant process to keep it usable.

Works better than the other two leashes that I purchased from Amazon. Very pleased with performance 😀

The leash does not fully retract and gets stuck more often than not. This is the second Fida retractable leash I purchased and the first one (a 16-ft one) still works great after 2 years of daily use. I bought this Fida Upgraded Retractable Dog Leash 26ft in April 2023 and hope it could bring my 58 lbs dog more room to run. After 4-5 months of use, the experience was only okay. I wish it could function smoother.

Good leash, leash material needs to be stronger, leash folds over on itself causing issues with leash retracting into holder. Sometimes leave 2-4 feet of leash not retracted. Have to pull all 26ft out and hold between fingers to make sure leash retracts flat.

I have a 75 pound dog who's pure muscle, and usually well behaved. We use a fixed length leash for regular walks (strongly recommended by dog experts - a quick search will give you plenty of info), but I got this for hikes where he needs to be on leash. It works great for that purpose - he can scramble up the rocks at his pace and then wait while I climb up. Even a five foot length of rock steps on a trail can be problematic when tied closely together, but this leash solves that problem.I wasn't confident an extendable leash could stop my dog at a full lunge, until the first day hiking with this leash. My dog saw a chipmunk for the first time and instantly charged after it. I had stupidly hooked the leash to my waist strap (don't do that!!!). My dog had 20 feet to reach full speed before I was yanked off my feet. I was dragged a few feet facedown before he stopped and came back to check on me.The leash continues to work fine after all that. The other day it held successfully while locked at a four foot length when another dog challenged him and he tried to accept.It's still much smarter to use a standard leash, especially for large dogs, but if you're going to use an extendable leash, this one will do the job.

Overall seems like a sturdy leash, good length and good strength. However, it's frustrating to use. The internal retracting mechanism is not able to pull the leash cord back in reliably enough to prevent tangles, so much so that on multiple occasions I've had to fully extend and retract the leash to untangle. When it tangles, which is above 50% of the time when trying to retract, it prevents automatic retraction and just stays out, leading to a very large tangled doggo sometimes. It's not a good leash.

We walk a very excited medium sized dog, she has such good freedom & range with this leash, we also purchased one for her family & they felt it was much better than what they were used to. Give us more control without the fear of breaking

Have a 3 month old 50lb pup with lots of energy, very sociable but clumsy - so restraint is required and this leash is perfect.

This has got to be 1 of worst leashes. The 1st day our dog had it on, she tugged abit ...enough that the thin side of the leash severly cut our dog on her side. Tearing her skin and causing her severe disscomfort and pain.Sorry i cant post a photo. But im sorta glad i cant ...its a heartbracking sight to see.

I liked it so much that when the line on the first purchase showed signs of wear, I purchased it again.

Works well, lock jammed on once and had to pry the button up to release. Does work well and comfortable handle.

Nice size, and weight confortable to hold, I like the leash material but it gets twisted and doesn't retract properly I constantly have to hold it straight while it retracts. If not you are left with a long leash not retracted.
