It doesn't fit 2005 e500
Molding they made it off a little bit off on how deep that center grove go.. that causes the center of the light to not be able to push all the way back. The Conner tabs connect in the back between the light and the back housing. But the center can't, cause the light won't push all the way back. Leaving a gap on the light between the trunk.. & also can't be fasten to housing with tabs on back of housing... I expect a full refund

Lens did not fit
I was going to use this kit to replace the burnt LED strip in the 3rd brake light on my 06 E320 CDI. The lens would not fit, it got stuck half inserted in my trunk. I had to pry it out breaking it in the process, luckily my original was in good shape. I inserted the new LEDs, reassembled my trunk only to discover the replacement part has burnt LEDS. A waste of time and money…

This is not a direct fit for w211 e500 series. It has a notch in the middle that does not allow the light assemble to seat and seal like the OEM. You will also need to reuse or buy a new rubber gasket to go with this light.

Item not fit, don't buy it.
It looks similar but when u try to install it, it does not fit. I Don't like to make negative comments but this item does not fit.
