It has general info, not quite as in depth as I hoped but a great starter’s guide!

I needed this book more than I thought because I collect Cameras,plus I love the history of the camera and this book has both The images were well thought out,inspriring,and unique,This book never overloaded the reader with facts and information than he needed.I refer to this book more, and more, everyday I love it.. Got this as a gift for a camera collector friend. We "lost" him for a while after he opened it., because he delved right in! He loves it, and he is very hard to buy presents for, so I am pleased!

Very interesting and informative. Fun to read if you like old film cameras and arenot a collector. A lot of industrial history. Very good book for all.

Purchased and gifted. Recipient made no comments and didn't ask to exchange it so it must be at least satisfactory

this book is of little help to a collector. it is not comprehensive, and believe it or not the pictures of cameras are often out of focus and are not properly lighted. there is not much detail shown in the pictures. i'm very disappointed. ivor matanle's book "classic cameras" is far far better. i really can't understand how others rated the book as a "five". i was misled by their reviews and never should have bought it.

Purchased as a gift. Had a look through before wrapping. Nice quality, lots of cool pictures.

Many nice photos and write-up on various cameras.
