Great wallet real leather

This wallet came packaged as a premium product. The type of leather is not specified. I can only hope that it holds up as well as the one it replaces. I bought this to replace my aged and worn credit card type wallet that I bought about 15 years ago from a now defunct, mall store called Wilson Leather. It served me well and I wanted another of the same style to carry in my pant front pocket. This Alpine Swiss wallet is the same size and style, with the same card slots and ID holder. I do not prefer metal tags and emblems as they eventually wear a divot into whatever is behind it- time will tell. I liked that Alpine Swiss donates to support a Children’s Hunger Fund so I went with this brand. It claims RFID protection ... I have no idea how to check that. It is the size and format I wanted and I am happy with it. My driver license fits easily in the clear pocket. My two work credit cards fit in the same, inside thin pocket as before. My personal bank card, that gets used about 10 times a day, fits in the outside thin pocket just as in my old wallet, and all my IDs and a short stack of cash fits in the larger inside section. All is as it was in my old, trusty wallet. Even though , I guess, it is some sort of status marking, I would like it better without the fancy, metal emblem. The internal embossed logo is all this really needs. See the Photos of the packaging materials along with how things fit.

I usually keep my wallet in my jacket pocket and I wanted an RFID wallet that was small enough to carry in the front pocket of my pants during the summer months, so I purchased this. I put my driver license and my NYS licensed physical therapist ID card (which is the same size and thickness as the driver license) in the flat inside pocket with the window. Then I placed 4 credit cards, my health insurance ID card & AAA membership card (both are the same size and thickness as a credit card) and a NYC Metrocard in the other inside pocket that's expandable. When filled with all of these things, the wallet was 3/4" thick.Initially when I filled the wallet with all of the above, the two sides of the wallet didn't fold flatly against each other. So I placed a rubber band around the wallet and let it sit like that overnight in an attempt to get it to fold flatly. I removed the rubber band in the morning and the two sides of the wallet remained flatly closed against each other. Based on my experience, this wallet will perfectly accommodate a driver license and 7 plastic credit card sized cards. The quality of the leather is excellent. But what I really like is how snugly my credit cards fit in the wallet. I used to have a similarly styled expandable wallet and when I opened it my credit cards would slide out. That doesn't happen with this wallet, when I remove a credit card the others remain firmly seated in the wallet. The only thing that I'm not particularly fond of is the circular metal Alpine Swiss logo that's riveted to the front lower right corner of the wallet, but that certainly wasn't a deal breaker for me. I cannot speak to the RFID blocking effectiveness because I have no way to test that. This small well made leather wallet is exactly what I was looking for.
