They add resistance to your workout, but are not all sized the same
I have had several pairs of these gloves size L and I love them! I am a female with ring size 7.5/8 on right ring finger and this size fits me perfectly. They add tremendously to my water workout. I use them for swimming and deep water aerobics. Great for arms, shoulders, back, chest and core! What’s great is that you can come up with all sorts of ways to use them and even when you are focusing on doing kicks at the side of the pool, they don’t get in the way because they’re soft and you can still use your fingers.A couple of things to note: they will fade over time when used in a pool or when exposed to salt water and sun even when rinsed after use. Also they take some time to dry, so you if you use them every day they may not dry between swims. I would expect that they lose some of their benefit over time, but I have not noticed a significant loss of resistance. The pair that I am using now are very faded, but otherwise are in perfect condition. Might as well get another pair!I purchased multiple pairs in 2017 and 2015. I gave away one pair and one or two pairs are lost in my house somewhere, but all pairs are in good condition except a run/small hole in one of the gloves. This is after swimming in a lake, a pool and saltwater.Update: I will attach a photo soon, but just wanted to indicate that size Large is now bigger than it was - well, the size of the glove is at least. I am not sure about the wrist width. That may be about the same. What that means is that where in the past my fingers used to protrude from the glove, they don't anywhere near as much now. I also notice that the fit is a bit strange for one of the two gloves at least. The material tends to bulge over the top of my hand. Once I get used to it feeling a bit differently, then It should be a non-issue.Update August 2019: I just started using a new pair in size L and they are noticeably a tighter fit around the wrist. Actually they fit “like a glove”, but since I am a female with no more than women’s large size hands, I honestly don’t know if these would fit a large size male hand.

Great product for the price
I love water aerobics and these are definitely a great tool to have during your workout.First.. What I don't like about it is it's too big for me. (posted pics for detail) I have a fairly small hand. (ring size range from 4.5 to 7) and as you can see there's a lot of room. That being said it did give me a great deal of additional resistance during my workout, however it did wear my hands out quicker than if I had one that fit my hands better. The velcro held up perfectly. What I love about these hand "fins" is that I got a much better workout with them than I expected. I'll keep these because they will probably fit my husband. I'll look for another pair.Overall I love them. I'm looking forward to seeing results using them.

Good While They Lasted
I bought a pair of these a while back. Lasted forever. These lasted all of 20 days. Stitching came apart in different places on each hand. Sending back.

They're cheap, try em
I bought these to attempt to learn to swim (at 42 I'm still working on it). I have an impairment on the left side of my body, which limits the strength and abilities of the extremities of that side. I can't properly cup my hand to pull through the water. Getting the gloves on is true comedy, not because the gloves are in any way flawed , but because I've got one giant man sized tiger paw for a right hand ,(I'm 6'4") and a palsied turd for a left hand. The right goes on with minimal effort and stays well, I'm able to articulate all fingers/fist. The left goes on with all the effort you can imagine sliding 5 idiotic, spasmic fingers into a wetsuit would take... Again not a fault of the MFR.In summary, if I had a matching pair of functional limbs,I feel like these would propel me through the water at unthinkable speeds, alas I am forever bound to swim in a circle, just a bigger circle with these on. The gloves absolutely increase drag through the water and are still worth the sweat to put them on before I get in my pool.. I won't be adding pictures because my hand is like a vampire, It doesn't show up on camera.

Decent product, but you get what you pay for.
EDIT: Customer service was very helpful in refunding me for the purchases of the gloves I had bought. For that, I changed my rating to 4 stars.~~~I do like this product. I feel that they have helped me swim faster. The first time I ordered these gloves, I ordered a size medium, which turned out being a touch too small for me. While it wasn’t ideal, I still used them until I noticed the stitching was unwinding. I ordered a second pair in size large a few weeks later. My current pair is starting to fail me with the Velcro coming loose mid lap and I am looking for a product to replace my curent pair.I ordered my first pair in November, my second pair in December, and now it’s March and I’m looking to buying a new pair soon.I’m not sure that the expected life of these gloves is supposed to be, but I have to wonder if the money I spent on these gloves could have been used to purchase a more durable product elsewhere.

Turned out to be a
I was going to return these gloves because they fit funny, longer on the fingers than my last pair, and tight at the cuff for my average size wrists. But they floated around the car for a month without getting to the UPS store so I decided to use them one day—and really like them. They reach almost to the end of my fingertips —shorter fingered me—and the cuffs are tighter than I might like but once they got wet they worked like a glove should, as part of my hand, only kept my fingers in line. I can’t say I felt more resistance, didn’t show up in my heart rate at any rate, but I’m sure they did. Not a loss after all. Worth the price.
