" Lo-fi-fnk was formed when leo drougge and august hellsing met in high school in the year 2kzero-2k1. They joined a team in their aim to start a band that really reflected them as persons and the time and place they were a part of. In a beginning they were mainly inspired by dancemusic and their fantasies about huge clubs where nothing was forbidden. Fantasies because they were too young to be allowed into to most of the cool clubs. They were left with the radios weekly dancemusic-feature bootlegged to cassette-tapes. You could hear that in their 2002 promo ep 'we is' [la vida locash]. After that, a huge leap forward straight into the arms and ears of many people. 'unighted' was released, 2k4. Vocals and a much more advanced producing techniques. The track made the band irresistible for the biggest festivals in sweden like 'hultsfredsfestivalen' and also the biggest national radio like p3. Bloggers round the world agreed and 'unighted' keeps on spreading even today, two years later. In 2k5 the lo-fi-fnk ep '(...and the jfg?)' Was released in scandinavia. Three of the six tracks on the record were on swedish national radio rotation. They were all over the place. And about now the rest of the world understood for real. This led to around 30 live gigs in europe and features on big contemporary compilations cds.
