A Fantastic Read
Being born in the US in '65 I fell in love with all of the great Mod/Punk bands coming out of the UK by the time I was 10/11. I especially fell hard for The Jam and still love them to this day. I've always thought that I was born at the right time, wrong country. Reading Pete's account of growing up in the middle of it all was really amazing. So many great stories. I did have to stop reading to google locations and English slang now and then. Those might have been the only times that I put the book down. I'm so glad that he decided to put pen to paper. Very inspiring.

Very nostalgic & a fantastic must read by everyone
Having grown up in the same town, same areas, with the same people at school & even during my late teens, this book is one of the best by far I have ever read (I have never been an avid book reader) but from starting reading it I could barely put the book down!Re-living the 70's & 80's just like I have read has brought back lots of good happy memories of my own time being a punk & going to all the concerts at King Georges's Hall, & queuing up backstage after the gigs to get autographs.Lots of hilarious tales that took me right back to that time, lots of photographs from not only Pete's early days with his family but also a lot of my own school friends too. My own local The Farthings at one time when I lived across the road & my Monday night escapade up to the New Inns each week. And last but not least Pete's personal journey with his battle with cancer, and donating some of the proceeds from this fabulous book go towards the Teenage Cancer Trust.

Great Read - you'll not put it down!!
I have known Pete for 35 years+ and who's have thought that my very good friend could write a book!!Well he certainly did and what a fantastic read it was. I read my book whilst on my 2 week holiday - I simply could not put it down, it was like Pete was on the next sun lounger reading it to me, I think i learned more about Pete in them 678 pages I read than I ever knew and i thought I knew him pretty well but i learned so much more - some real eye openers and some very sad times too, his amazing childhood with the best parents ever, finding love with Janet, the birth his beautiful Daughter Emma, his passion for music and how he smashed Cancer! An exceptional read and very well written! Proud of you Pete x

But I'm different now
Wow what a book this is. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it in fact I couldn't put it down. Made it even more enjoyable because I'm from blackburn and the same age as pete and certainly took me down memory lane.
