Knight in Shining Suit: A Revenge Fake Dating Romance

great story
So if youāre really into rom-coms itās great.this story made me laugh, it made me cry. My heart was broken and I fell in love. Awesome story really. I loved that she got her revenge in the best way and it worked out.So down side. It was hard to really believe Astrid wouldnāt realize she loved Ryder sooner and her persistence to not date because he is rich was kind of like really. She kept saying heās like out of a romance novel which I found funny considering it is a romance novel. But she was like heās my best friend heās amazing why canāt he be a poor bartender instead of the guy the rich amazing guy that my family thinks he is and loves (because is a great guy and got that bounds of money.) it just got frustrating to be like omg so you got the package just accept it and stop hurting him and being stupid. But thatās kind of also the point of a rom-com so I guess I should have been expecting that.So for you grammar police I will also add there were some mistakes, like four times she wrong āhe said, he saidā but most mistakes I think can be looked past and it doesnāt take away or pull you out of the story (like you donāt have to reread sections to try to make sense of what sheās trying to say) but I know some ppl are sticklers about it so this is just to let you know.

Fast, Fun and Full of Drama
I rated this book 4 stars but honestly, ti was like more 3.8 and I just rounded up. That said I enjoyed this book immensely. This book was full of cheesy ridiculous situations that just kept coming. Cheesy romance books are like crack for me and my secret shame and pleasure. As I was reading it I could not help but be reminded of a soap opera and the Korean and Taiwanese dramas I love.Astrid was at times frustrating in her stubbornness while holding herself back while the opposite could be said with Ryder who at times was off-putting with his being 100% in from the very start. Seriously red flags went up when he was like it's okay if you pregnant talk with Astrid just like no. The unprotected sex was one of the big downs to this book for me as I honestly found it not very responsible on the part of two characters that had so far been presented as mature responsible individuals. There were many times the plot was transparent to everyone except apparently Astrid who seemed to fairly oblivious to the true characters of others. Astrid seemed to constantly get the wrong idea od those closet to her such as Geena, Bryan and even Adam who she openly admits to having hated but then realized when he came to her aid that she had spent her whole life misjudging. Astrid seemed to constantly make false assumptions on others and it was pretty frustrating.Ryder, on the other hand, spent most of the book being the prince sweeping in on his white horse and then doing a 160 and becoming a complete jerk the minute he lost his memories of Astrid. When we get Ryder's perspective on how he felt taking Astrid's virginity I ended up being put off by it as it made it seem he completely fell for her solely because he was her first and wanted to be her only. It made it seem like he was more interested in having conquered her. Despite this weird moment at the end however it does become apparent, this is not how he really sees it but honestly, that was how it was portrayed in that scene.Overall however I loved this story despite it being full of cliche's and all the fairytale happily ever after references. IT was a fun read that was full of drama and appealed to my inner love of trashy romance books.

This book is fantastic- a MUST READ.
Okay. I will try to write a coherent review, which might be a tad bit difficult as I was up ALL NIGHT finishing this amazing piece of literature. IT WAS SO GOOD. I originally found this book on Wattpad, and was just getting into it when it was-devastatingly-removed! I've been trying to get my hands on it ever since, I was so captivated by the first few chapters and Ryder's introduction that I couldn't wait to read it! When I eventually found it here, I think I had heart palpatations, and proceeded to see if it was as good as I remembered. It wasn't- it was so much better. Although Ryder's heartfelt confessions might be a little cheesy to our more cynical readers, I thought they were beautiful and thoughtful- a theme that ran strongly throughout the book. The characters were well developed and realistic, the chemistry fantastic, and the writing nearly flawless. The one teeny tiny thing I would question was the amount of times Astrid cried. I was reading this on kindle, so I typed the word 'tears' into the search bar and received 166 hits- it felt like she was depressed, or at the very least extremely (way too) emotional. There are only so many times one can read 'tears welled up in my eyes' and get the same reaction. However, I did give this book 5 stars as I feel that Astrid's broken tear ducts didn't detract too much from the book, and the rest of it- fantastic writing, funny dialogue, incredible plot twists that rip your heart out and then piece it back together- far overpowered whatever negative impact the crying had on my impression of the book. So, congratulations Ms. Kaye on a job done very very well. I will be looking forward to anything you pen in the future, including but not limited to more about Astrid and Ryder? :) THANK YOU SO MUCH for the enjoyment this book gave me, it's been a while since I've read something so captivating that I couldn't put it down all night long. It's a good thing this was at night actually, I was alternating between grinning like a madman, squealing, and possibly shedding (more than) a few tears at rapid intervals and I'm sure any onlookers would agree that the emotions this book made me feel were varied in type, but all equally powerful and touching. It takes a very good author to procure that kind of reaction, and I congratulate you again for A FANTASTIC BOOK. :)

Amazing read!
So I originally read this story on Wattpad about 5/6 years ago...(when it was called something slightly different)..then bought the e-book 4 years ago & just re-read it now! šš½ (The first 10 chapters are still up on Wattpad if youās want a taster š)I really enjoyed reading this again but I also remember why it frustrated me at the same time. The story starts out with Astrid finding out that her fiancĆ© & soon to be husband has been cheating on her, with her best friend/ cousin/ roommate/ maid of honour...& knocked her up. She ends things immediately and tells him if he can cancel the rest ending himself if he wants his money back! But they doesnāt happen, Astrid instead receives an invitation to her dream wedding, except sheās no longer the bride. Now instead of continuing to throw herself a pitty party, she intends to get some revenge & attend the wedding with a date. (Even if heās a fake) Someone who is 100% hotter, richer, smarter than he ex. She invented the perfect boyfriend...& no one is feeling sorry for her at that wedding. But after meeting Ryder...things donāt feel so fake for very long & the lines between them begin to blur. After the wedding is where the story starts to frustrate me a little but only because I want to reach into the book and shake Astrid so she takes a chance. The book is a little cliche but not to the point where Iām rolling my eyes and wanting to put it down! I like a bit of cheese...& there are definitely some twists thrown in there too.

WOW True romance.
I started reading this book on Wattpad and couldn't wait to buy it once it was available on Kindle. It's a true heart warming romance with betrayal, trauma and a love that defeats all odds. The sex scenes were written respectfully but with so much love and emotion that it didn't need the graphic details found in most romance books at the moment. The characters were loveable and wouldn't we all love a man like Ryder in our lives. The book cost was more than I'd normally pay but it wasn't short so it was worth it and much more besides. I even burnt the evening meal as I couldn't put the book down. I would definitely recommend Jerilee Kaye and will be looking for other books by this author.
