Fair price. Solid brass. I had to sharpen it bit so it wasn't so hard on fabric, a 5 minute job. Turns practically any fabric into a warm cloak. Great for hanging by the fire telling sea stories.

I bought this originally to fasten a thin shoulder wrap/cloak for a costume. I like the sharper/thinner point than I saw on some other items and it did pierce well, though the cloth maintained obvious holes still when removed (says more about the cloth than the pin though, I think). Of course, it is sharp, and when it slid once or twice and I went to adjust, it did poke me, so something to be mindful of.Shiny metal, easy enough to use/secure
