I don't always find every story is the most powerful for me - but a lot of them really really are. Usually at least one of the two daily devotions is speaking directly to my soul. But more importantly, they are a good, twice-daily reminder just to keep the right perspective and stay mindful, positive and faithful. It often leads me right to what I need for further reading or reflection. This book has also brought several friends and family members together as we share and journey together. I was a later addition to the group. I recommend this both as a gift, and as something to do for yourself.

Truly refreshing to my soul. I love how the wisdom from the past saints can share with us in this generation.

Love the verses and inspirational stories in this devotional. It has morning and evening devotionals. Like others have said, it is hardback and large! Quite heavy. My mom who is 80 just places it on her lap to read but it could be cumbersome for those who don’t like heavy books.

I know some people don't like this book because it's big and heavy but I have to say, it's all because of the great stuff in between the covers. This is my all time favorite devotional. Honestly its saved me and been such a comfort to me in one of the hardest season's of my life. I swear almost every day is a message that speaks straight to my heart and situation. You won't regret this purchase!

This devotional was given to me at the beginning of a serious challenge in my life. Often it spoke directly to my situation and has continued to bring comfort and peace and challenge me.Its been around a long time so many of the quotes are from fathers in the faith, and has inspired me to learn more about them.It will challenge you to trust through whatever you may be going through, believe that God is there, and that tribulation, trials, and suffering can serve a purpose if you let it.

If you are in a storm of any kind, buy this devotional! So many days where I was dying of thirst and hunger and these pages would revive me and help me to meditate in the lessons taught. I meditate better with stories in scriptue, so this is so helpful.

We continue to gift this exceptional devotional to customers, their employees and their families, when faced with difficulties such as loss of a loved one. Truly believe this devotional is source of strength to them during the crisis they face and beyond, for everyday living.

I really enjoy these devotions and the fact that theres one for morning and evening. Starts my day right and ends it right as well.

Found most readings in this book useful in meditation during this time of covid-19 . A very relevant book for like-minded readers.
