From childhood, I have always been taught to save bacon grease. Yes - I know it is not healthy... but it is DELICIOUS!I normally use a coffee cup, or the likes, and keep it in the refrigerator door... However, it is always annoying if anything falls into the vat of greasy goodness... as I typically toss the grease and have to deep clean the rogue item.I had looked at other containers for quite some time but never really saw anything that made me stop and think. Honestly, it was the color of this one. This wonderful retro inspired burnt orange struck chords with me immediately... Completely took me back to afternoons in my Grandmother's kitchen... and I had to click "Buy Now."Upon receipt, it is packaged beautifully for transport. Lots of buffers between the ceramic jar and its packaging. The size, maybe a little bigger than I would typically use (like I said, I'm used to coffee mugs)... but not too large to size it out of where I would normally store it. It has a great weight to it and the glazing is gorgeous. Nice even color throughout with a wonderful feeling to the touch. The lid also has a nice heft to it and aligns perfectly with the rest of the container.All in all, I am in love with this little jar... even though it serves a niche purpose in my kitchen. If this is something you are pondering, I have very little hesitation in saying that I think this is a great option.

It's smaller than I anticipated, but the size was clearly stated in the product listing- so that's on me. The fact that the lid doesn't fit in such a way to retain itself is a little strange- there's no seal... it jut sits on top. This can make a potential spill issue on a busy countertop. The appearance is a whole lot nicer than an old coffee can full of grease, that's for sure!

Uodate: The lids gets very Slippery d/t the grease & there is no rubber o-ring to help it stay secured onto the jar while moving the jar. It slipped out of my husband's hand & shattered on the ground. We are still using the jar but now looking for a replacement lid.For years we've used a mason jar for bacon grease but the glass heats up quckly if holding while filling. I got this knowing it would be loved, as you can see in the picture it is perfect. I love that the ceramic stayed cool while filling with hot grease. As my hubby says it's a perfect "essential oil" container!

This ceramic container came well-protected and as advertised. Except for a ring under the container and a ring under the lid, the glaze is even and continuous. The white rings have been smoothed. It still recommended that you don't slide the container around on your glass cooktop, but the product I received was smooth enough not to worry much about scratches.The design is good. The lid is easy to lift and the container is not too large for storing on the stovetop (we never use the warming area of the stove top). The interior is smooth, with no lip or ridge to catch the drippings you pour out.The cautions and instructions that come with this product state that grease/drippings should be cooled before adding to the container, but that it is microwave and dishwasher safe. If you are going to save the drippings, of course, you should strain it first.And it adds just a touch of color to our kitchen.

The media could not be loaded.  This drippings pot helps with grease and drippings and definitely with after cooking clean up. I gave 4 stars because I wish it came with a filter so you can filter the grease and leftover bits to through away. Other than that it holds hot bacon grease with ease

I love this grease jar because it is so practical. I’ve been raised to save bacon grease if it’s not burned. You can use it to add flavor to some of your other dishes that require a little oil. Especially fried potatoes, sautéed vegetables like chard, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, pan seared meats, pork chops, whatever else you might need a little fat for. And now I never have to throw it away now that I have this jar with a lid. I’m able to preserve my bacon grease for whenever I need it.

I love the over all look of this product a cute small ceramic jar. The jar is microwave safe and dishwasher safe. Wide top makes it easy to pour grease into. I was surprised that the jar didn’t get to hot itself after putting the grease in it. The only thing I think would be a great addition to this jar would be one of those rubber stoppers on the lid so the jar could be kept air tight.
